Wednesday, March 5

*12:23 PM – The Brownwood High School resource officer received the report of a student assaulting a female teacher.  According to the report, a report was taken and the teacher was advised that she would have to file a complaint in the municipal court.

*4:59 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding fraud with victims being several local businesses.  The complainant stated that the businesses were not aware of the issue until he spoke with them on this date.  An investigation is underway, the report states.

Thursday, March 6

*11:32 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Vincent Street regarding a scam.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had received an email claiming she owed a loan company money; however, she had never taken out a loan with the company and did not know why she had received the email.

*12:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Main Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 19-year-old Juan Sanchez of Brownwood for assault with injury family violence.

*5:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of Main Street, the Candlestick Apartments, regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect stole some money out of his room.

*5:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a male suspect ran from the store and was last seen behind the Holiday Inn Express.  Upon arriving in the area, a subject was located that matched the suspect’s description and identified as 18-year-old Skylour Blu Admire of Brownwood.  Store employees positively identified Admire as the suspect and he was arrested for theft.

*5:37 PM – Brownwood Police, while performing as a back-up for another case at Wal-Mart, were given custody of a bag which contained a 3ml syringe which was filled with a clear fluid and was capped with a hard cap.  According to the report, the store employee who brought the syringe to the officer stated that an unnamed employee had turned it in after locating it on a “lift.”

*6:26 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of 4th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  As a result of this call, 22-year-old Timothy Collins, Jr. of Brownwood was arrested for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Stephanie Lee Baker of Blanket on a warrant related to a parole violation.

*Bangs Police arrested 28-year-old Barbara Kay Blackburn of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Christopher Douglas Cornett of Brownwood on a warrant related to continuous sexual abuse of a child.  Cornett is being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 27-year-old Christine Hawke Quigley of Brownwood for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

Friday, March 7

*12:40 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the reporting parties stated that a male subject, later identified as 24-year-old Seaver Ray Roper, Jr. of Brownwood attempted to assault them with a knife.  After an investigation, Roper was located near the area and arrested for terroristic threat.
