Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, March 7, 2011.

Friday, March 4

*9:53am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Rogan Street, Brownwood Intermediate School, regarding drugs/narcotics.  According to the report, an officer met with the principal who advised that one of his students was caught in possession of Marijuana.  Drugs had been found on the juvenile’s person according to BPD officials.  After an investigation, the juvenile was arrested and released to the Juvenile Detention Center.

*12:01pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 200 block of W. Commerce regarding a civil matter.  According to the report, a store employee requested that a subject be issued a criminal trespass warning for unruly behavior.  The subject was issued the criminal trespass warning and left the property without incident the report states.

*12:24pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, two complainants stated that a known suspect had threatened to assault both of them.  They wished to pursue charges against the suspect the report indicates.

*7:48pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Custer Road, Schwann’s, regarding a vehicle that had been damaged.  According to the report, the complainant stated he noticed his vehicle “driving funny” when he left the secured parking lot.  He had gotten out of the vehicle and found four screws embedded in the tire, including in the sidewalls which made him suspect the damage was intentional the report states.  Estimated damage was thought to be around $200.

*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Christopher Moreno Gutierrez for Possession of Marijuana less than or equal to 2oz. in a Drug Free Zone.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 32-year-old Christopher Lee Johnson for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

Saturday, March 5

*11:54pm-According to the report, a Brownwood Police officer was on a criminal interdiction assignment, riding with an Early PD detective, when he observed two males urinating in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Indian Creek Drive.  Contact was made with the two males who were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle the report states.

*12:24pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area around EZ Mart on C.C. Woodson Road regarding an open container.  The officer located the suspect and after investigation issued a citation for open container-passenger the report states.

*5:15pm-Brownwood Police were called to 403 W. Commerce, Murphy USA, regarding a theft of gasoline.  According to the report, the complainant (an employee) advised officers that a male subject had driven off without paying, stealing approximately 16 gallons of gas.  The estimated value of the gas was $54.27 the report states.  Surveillance video was copied and turned into BPD for possible identification of the suspect.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Daniel Luis Hernandez for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Grade 1, less than 1g.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Dustin Shane White of Santa Anna for Driving While License Invalid and three outstanding Brown County warrants.

Sunday, March 6

*12:12pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the officer discovered the suspect had intentionally struck the complainant’s vehicle with his fist.  The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Benjamin Lee Quinonez, was subsequently arrested for Criminal Mischief equal or greater than $50 and less than $500.

*4:24pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Center Avenue, Hastings Book Store, regarding a theft.  According to police, a store employee reported that a known suspect, a 12-year-old boy, had stolen a necklace.  The necklace was returned to the store and a citation was issued to the juvenile who was released at the scene.

*4:45pm-Brownwood police were called to the 500 block of 8th Street regarding a vehicle that had been stolen.

*11:09pm-Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center.  According to the report, the woman stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her inside her vehicle when she was attempting to leave her residence.  The complainant wished to file criminal charges against the suspect, her boyfriend for Assault Family Violence the report states.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
