Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, March 6, 2014.
Wednesday, March 5
*2:51 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Investigator James Stroope was on patrol in the area of the 200 block of E. Commerce when he observed a Chevrolet S10 blazer driven by 29-year-old John Simon Armendarez of Brownwood and also occupied by passenger 39-year-old Marjorie Elaine Schneider. According to the report, Investigator Stroope knew both Armendarez and Schneider had active arrest warrants. A traffic stop was made by Stroope who noticed that both subjects making furtive movement as the vehicle came to a stop, the report states. Both occupants were instructed to exit the vehicle and Armendarez was arrested. Schneider was also arrested and advised that she would be strip searched once at the jail due to the charge of her warrant being for narcotics and additionally because of the movements she made as the vehicle came to a stop, according to the report. Schneider explained the movement was due to her allegedly spilling her drink and also stated that she had about a gram of methamphetamine stuffed in her pants, the report states. When asking where she had gotten the methamphetamine, Schneider stated that she did not know where it came from but that Armendarez did not buy it. Both Armendarez and Schneider were arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams and tamper with physical evidence.
*5:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Melwood regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, it was determined that a male subject had struck a male relative in the face after an argument over rent money. The victim stated that he was not injured and that he did not wish to pursue charges.
*6:52 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Magnolia Street regarding noise nuisance. After an investigation, it was learned that the apartment had 10 prior complaints for the same issue. After three calls for service during the night, the renter was issued two citations for city ordinance violations.
*11:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Irma Street regarding a juvenile who left the residence without permission. According to the report, once this matter was settled, another juvenile at the residence was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. The juvenile was processed at the police department and later released to her mother.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office impounded an abandoned green 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup after it had been observed parked in the right of way in the 11800 block of FM 45 since February 21st and was still there as of March 5th. The vehicle was towed and stored, the report states.
*Early Police arrested 49-year-old Audrey Ellsworth Bayerl of Clyde on City of Early municipal warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 44-year-old Treasa Louise Christy of Bangs on a warrant related to Assault.
*Brownwood Police arrested 56-year-old Curtis Ray Deeds of Brownwood on a warrant related to a parole violation.
*Texas Juvenile Justice Department arrested 18-year-old Bridget Gonzales on warrants related to two counts of assault public servant enhanced. Gonzales is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $30,000.
*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Nina Nichole Haechten of San Angelo on a warrant for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
*Texas Juvenile Justice Department arrested 17-year-old Keturah Morgan on a warrant for assault public servant enhanced. Morgan is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Tarry Michael Payne for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 33-year-old Robert Lee Powell, Jr. of Brownwood on several warrants related to driving while license invalid, speeding 10% or more, failure to appear, and ran stop sign.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Chad Alan Williams on warrants related to motion to revoke/theft of property equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000.
