Wednesday, March 2

*7:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding theft

*11:12 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for an obstructed license plate.  According to the report, a check of the VIN number revealed the vehicle was actually stolen and supposed to be white in color.  The driver, 51-year-old Marcella Renee Keesee of Rochelle, was arrested and charged with class c operating a vehicle without registration insignia and operating a vehicle with wrong license plates, the report states.  The front seat passenger, Kyle Wayne Baker, also was arrested and charged with state jail felony theft $2500-$30,000 because he claimed possession of the stolen vehicle, the report states.

*1:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a stolen vehicle.  A report was taken for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, which was entered as stolen in the Texas Crime Information Center (TCIC) and the National Crime Information Center databases.

*3:19 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Brady Avenue regarding criminal mischief.

Thursday, March 3

*12:00 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop regarding a defective brake lamp at the intersection of 6th Street and W. Hall Street in Bangs.  According to the report, during the stop, the driver, identified as 21-year-old Joshua Perez of Santa Anna, admitted to possessing marijuana.  Perez surrendered approximately 0.8 grams of marijuana in 4 plastic bags from his front pockets, the report states.  Perez was subsequently arrested for possession of marijuana in drug free zone less than 2 ounces.

*10:08 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft.  A female complainant reported that property had been stolen from her business in Brownwood.

*1:11 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce Street regarding a domestic disturbance.

*1:43 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Lee Street regarding a scam.  According to the report, information was gathered regarding credit card or debit card abuse/elderly individual.

*1:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of Milam Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim wished to press criminal charges.  An investigation is ongoing, according to police.

*4:49 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Austin Avenue regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, several items were taken from a storage unit, including reloading equipment and tools.

*7:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the manager of a local grocery store reported he had been assaulted by a subject inside the store.  This call led to the arrest of 34-year-old Shannon Logan Thomas of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 52-year-old Warren James Bellinger, Jr. of Brownwood on warrants related to two counts of theft enhanced.

*Brownwood Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Zachery Cooper Huber of Brownwood on warrants related to no driver’s license when unlicensed CDL and violate promise to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Jared Courtney South of Abilene on a warrant related to evading arrest detention with vehicle.
