Thursday, February 28

*10:30 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the Intermediate School regarding a possible assault.  According to the report, the principal reported that a teacher had been pushed against a doorframe by a student in her class.  An investigation determined that an assault by offensive touch had occurred and the student was issued a citation and assigned to the DAEP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Program) for twenty days as school discipline.

Friday, March 1

*8:29 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of 1st Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, no violence had occurred.  The male subject left the residence for the night and there was no further incident, the report states.

*5:12 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Vincent Street regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant advised that her sister-in-law’s house had been burglarized between February 27th and March 1st.  Among items reported stolen were a 32-inch flat screen TV, a .357 revolver and a safe box containing numerous medications, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance over child custody.  According to the complainant at one point during the disturbance, her ex-husband’s girlfriend held the complainant by the throat while her child was taken by his father, the ex-husband, from her vehicle.

*6:58 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault and possible stabbing.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been stabbed by a male subject who had been talking to him about purchasing a vehicle from the complainant.  He stated that when he went to retrieve the keys to the vehicle, the man stabbed him, the report states.  The complainant’s injuries were minor and treated by Bangs Volunteer Fire Department, according to the report.  The complainant wished to pursue charges against the subject, if he can be located, the report states.

*8:25 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to County Road 205 regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the victim was observed by the responding officer to have several injuries on his face.  He reported that during the disturbance, someone had pushed him into a window of his residence causing the glass to shatter, the report states.  Limited information on a suspect was available; however the victim did wish to pursue criminal charges if the suspect can be identified, according to the report.

*Brownwood City Marshal arrested 18-year-old Dominique James Briscoe on two warrants related to failure to appear and disorderly conduct.

*43-year-old Jimmy Dale Carter of Bangs turned himself in on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Jovoni Seth Palmore of Abilene for purchase/furnish alcohol to a minor.

*Brownwood City Marshal arrested 36-year-old Mandy Wells Turner of Santa Anna on two warrants related to failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to appear.

Saturday, March 2

*1:30 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2600 block of Crocket Drive, Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an assault.  According to the report, a female victim advised that a known suspect assaulted her at the Woodland Crest Apartment Complex.

*12:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of US Hwy 377S regarding theft.   According to the report, an employee advised that a male and female with a young child had entered the store and stole items valued at $29.95.  Stolen items included a CD, earphones, a cassette adapter, and red pens.

*4:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of 6th Street regarding burglary.  According to the report, a male subject advised that his Craftsman 16-inch chain saw had been stolen from the shed located near the back door of the house.

*27-year-old Jami Ray Ball turned herself in on two warrants related to driving while license invalid and fail to drive in single lane.

Sunday, March 3

*1:23 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Avenue J regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated as he and his friends arrived at the residence that a female neighbor began yelling at them.  The complainant stated that they went into the house and then the female’s husband came to the house with a baseball bat, accusing them of having cursed at his wife, the report states.  The male neighbor then went to the complainant’s vehicle and struck the driver’s door window, breaking the glass, according to the report.  The complainant stated that he did not want the male arrested, but that he did want the window of his vehicle repaired the report states.  The male neighbor was identified and a report was filed for criminal mischief.

*4:09 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a noise nuisance in the 1000 block of Poindexter Street.  According to the report, the officer made contact with eight juveniles who were issued citations for consumption of alcohol by minor.

*2:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, officers arrived and detained three juveniles for theft equal or more than $500 less than $1500 and engage in organized criminal activity.

* 5:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of 8th Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim advised officers that his ex-wife came to his residence and entered without consent and then proceeded to assault him as he was waking up from a nap.

*8:55 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of US Hwy 377S regarding a suspected DWI, which was being followed by an off duty Brownwood Police officer.  Officers made contact with the suspect, who was identified as 53-year-old Wade Allen Phillips of Fort Worth, at the Gate 1 Motor Inn, the report states.  After an investigation, Phillips was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective tail lamp.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 26-year-old Marcus Daniel Gray was found to have an expired Texas ID card which was also currently suspended.  Gray was also unable to provide proof of insurance and was arrested and charged with driving while license invalid and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding.  The driver, identified as 56-year-old Camellia Manuela Rincon of Lubbock, was found to have a baggie of pills in her possession which included 7 pills of 500 mg prescription ibuprofen and one pill of 20 mg Adderrall, for which she did not have a prescription.  Rincon was placed under arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram and possession of a dangerous drug.

*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Melissa Sue Benson on three warrants related to unrestrained animal.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Eugene Raymond Butts on two warrants related to driving while license invalid and failure to appear.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 34-year-old Enrique Ponce of Coleman for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and on a warrant related to theft of property $500-$1500.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 27-year-old Adolfo Santiago Vigil of Las Vegas, New Mexico for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old Robert Calbert Walker of Early for public intoxication.
