Tuesday, March 29
*9:42 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an address in Early regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant also noticed a welder was missing from his carport.
*5:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to an agency assist. According to the report, an off duty highway patrol trooper had observed, what he believed to be, a domestic disturbance occurring in a vehicle and was requesting assistance. After further investigation, it was determined there had only been a verbal argument. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and the passenger, Maria Angelica Hernandez, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1g and tampering with physical evidence, the report states.
Wednesday, March 30
*2:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated a stereo was stolen from the vehicle. There was no forced entry into the vehicle; however, the dash was damaged, according to police. Possible suspects were named, the report states.*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a received a call from a complainant who stated a known suspect was dumping wheelbarrow loads of debris and trash on an empty lot that the suspect owns. A report for illegal dumping was generated.
*5:14 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property in Early, Texas regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant advised that an unknown suspect stole a toy John Deere tractor from his yard.
*6:55 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a Brownwood property regarding the theft of tire rims. According to the report, there are no named suspects at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
*32-year-old Stacey Raquel Ruiz was arrested on multiple warrant related to failure to appear/four counts of fraud; surety warrants related to motion to adjudicate for two counts of fraud, injury to a child/elderly, and failure to appear/theft of property greater than $20 less than $500; and a motion to revoke/fraud intent to obtain controlled substance schedule III/IV. Ruiz was being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $146,000 as of Thursday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Jason Michael Smith of Lohn for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.
