Tuesday, March 1

*1:21 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft of property. The complainant stated he had paid for RV Travel with pre-paid debit cards over the internet and believes he was scammed out of a total of $3,000.00, the report states.

Wednesday, March 2

*1:54 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’ deputy was dispatched to a residence on Emerald Drive near Lake Brownwood regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, dispatch advised the officer that a female caller was advising that her ex-boyfriend was on her property and she wanted him to leave. The deputy arrived on scene and located the male subject who was served with a criminal trespass warning for the complainant’s property as she requested.

*6:39 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Commerce Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy who was working security for United Supermarket observed a male subject conceal items on his person and exit the store.  The male was detained and issued a citation for class c theft.

*9:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Borden Street regarding a fight.  According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 42-year-old Christie Latrail Selvie of Brownwood for assault family violence with injury.

*9:50 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop near the intersection of US Highway 67 W and County Road 143, near Brownwood regarding an expired license plate.  According to the report, during the course of the traffic stop, nervous behavior was detected with both occupants of the vehicle.   A consent search led to the discovery of illegal narcotics inside of the truck and the front passenger 44-year-old Tawana Terese Lee was eventually placed under the arrest for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, the reports state.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report from a male subject who stated he was communicating with a female on the Plenty of Fish dating website and both parties had exchanged nude pictures.  According to the report, the complainant stated that later an individual identifying himself as the female’s father contacted told the complainant that the female was only 16-years-old and he demanded payment of $1200, threatening he would go to the police about the nude pictures.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kyle Baker of Buda, Texas for theft of service equal or greater than $2500 less than $30,000.  Baker was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Thursday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Mary Nicole Culp of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Marcella Renee Keesee of Rochelle on a warrant related to no registration and wrong license plate.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Lorena Rivera Mantos of Brownwood on a parole warrant.

*33-year-old Julio Cesar Martinez of San Marcos was arrested on Hays County warrants related to two counts of failure to appear/driving while license invalid and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old David Robles Ortega, Jr. on multiple warrants related to failure to appear/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, failure to appear/five counts of possession of child pornography and surety withdrawals related to eleven counts of possession of child pornography, criminal mischief equal to or greater than $50 less than $500, manufacture delivery of a  controlled substance not in a penalty group, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, and burglary. Ortega was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $141,500 as of Thursday morning.

*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Billy Don Vinson of Bangs on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal to or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.  Vinson was later released on $15,000 bond.

Thursday, March 3

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden arrested 23-year-old Jimmy Ladale Allison of Bangs on warrants related to failure to appear, failure to maintain financial responsibility and no driver’s license.
