Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, March 28th.

Friday, March 25

*8:48am-Brownwood Police responded to a call of a reckless driver in the 2700 block of Southgate Drive.

*8:48am-Brownwood Police were called to the 377 Villa Apartments regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the manager stated that the door of one of the apartments had been kicked in and she wished to pursue charges.  A suspect was located and a confession obtained.  The suspect stated that she would make restitution for the damages the report states.

*9:41am-Brownwood Police met with a reporting party that came to the Law Enforcement Center to report assault by threats which were made on March 23rd in the 1200 block of Avenue G.

*1:10pm-A complainant came to the Law Enforcement Center to report the theft of a laptop computer and its accessories.  According to the report, the theft occurred on March 24th in the 1600 block of Calvert Road.  There are no suspects at this time.

*2:08pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, witnesses reported a partial license plate number and gave a description of the suspect vehicle.  The complainant’s vehicle received very minor damage the report states.

*2:30pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of 14th Street.  During the investigation, it was determined that the complainant’s estranged spouse had taken multiple items from her residence, which belonged to the complainant the report states.  The investigation is ongoing.

*3:21pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Avenue C for a civil standby.   According to the report, property belonging to the complainant was no longer at the residence and the complainant stated he wished to pursue charges against his ex-roommate for theft.  An investigation is ongoing.

*8:17pm-A Brownwood Police officer was patrolling in the 1800 block of Main Street when he observed a vehicle that failed to signal a right turn.  Investigation showed that the driver had an expired license and his vehicle insurance could not be verified.  The driver, identified as 42-year-old James Howard Bush, Jr., was arrested for Driving While License Invalid/Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

*9:43pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Santa Clara regarding lost property.  The complainant reported his wallet was missing.  According to police, the complainant stated that he had eaten at Pizza Hut two hours prior to realizing that his wallet was missing.  According to the report, the complainant returned to the restaurant to see if anyone had turned the wallet in to the management; however, no one had done such.  The wallet contained several credit cards and cash.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Meagan Lajean George and 24-year-old Michael Nolan George of Bangs, each charged with Theft of Property greater or equal to $50, less than $500.

Saturday, March 26

*1:23am-A Brownwood Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1200 block of 6th Street.  After an investigation, the driver, identified as 48-year-old Kyle Ray Couch of Comanche, was found to be intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a child passenger the report states.  The driver was arrested for Felony DWI.

*11:58am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Brady Avenue.  Officer met with a female who reported being harassed by her boyfriend’s ex-wife.   She wanted to document several events that had taken place over the last month.

*7:46pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Parkway Drive regarding theft.  The complainant reported that an unknown subject had stolen a bicycle.

*8:27pm-Brownwood Police responded to a report of Disorderly Conduct in the 1600 block of Avenue E.  According to the report, witnesses stated that the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Rudolfo Reyna, had urinated in the front yard with children present.  Reyna was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and while in transit to the Brown County Jail, he attempted to kick out the windows of the patrol car.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 45-year-old John Michael Salazar for Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd or More.

Sunday, March 27

*1:09am-Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Avenue B regarding disorderly conduct.  A subject, identified as 34-year-old Samuel Ervin, Jr., was sitting on the curb and cursing loudly at a woman according to the report.  A relative identified herself and explained that he had gotten mad at her adult children who he felt had been disrespectful to him in his own home and had broken a window, cutting his hand according to police.  Guardian EMS was called to check him and after examination of his injury was found to be minor, he was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and taken to the Brown County Jail.

*4:25am-Brownwood Police were called to a hit and run in the 1200 block of 8th Street.  The complainant stated that someone had struck his vehicle and left the scene according to the report.

*8:17pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the officer spoke with the victim who wished no charges to be filed against his daughter; however, he did want a criminal trespass warning to be issued to her boyfriend.  A criminal trespass warning was issued to the male subject.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 29-year-old Danny Salinas Diaz for Driving With License Invalid.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 66-year-old Paul Jackson and 47-year-old Rickey Paul Kelly, both of Midlothian, Texas, were each charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
