Monday, March 25
*9:29 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of 14th Street regarding a terroristic threat. According to the report, the complainant stated that she was being followed by her ex-boyfriend on a bicycle and that he had threatened to “slit her throat” and then left the area.
Tuesday, March 26
*1:47 PM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had lost his checkbook and an unknown subject had cashed two of the checks at a local convenience store in the 3700 block of US Hwy 377S.
*5:26 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of 4th Street regarding child abuse. According to the report, an investigation found that the child’s mother had an open CPS case for similar instances. CPS was notified and upon conclusion of their investigation, three young children were placed with family and 23-year-old Rayna Danielle Leach was arrested for child abandonment/endangerment, the police report states.
*6:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of Center Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, a complainant stated that subject stole $31 from a woman’s purse.
*7:19 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue B regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, responding officers were advised that Dustin Atkins had shattered a car windshield with a bat and had attempted to attack the caller’s son with the bat. Officers were advised that Atkins had left the scene and had traveled toward Brady Avenue in a black pick-up, the report states. Atkins was located at a residence in the 1800 block of 8th Street where a wooden baseball bat was retrieved from his possession, according to the report. Atkins was subsequently arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26 -year-old Cory Wayne Apple on a warrant for motion to adjudicate related to possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19 -year-old Dylan Lee Mantz of Stephenville on a warrant for motion to revoke/motion to adjudicate related to engage in organized crime.
*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Sara Jo Day Newton of Bangs for Assault Class C.
* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Ann Marie Sanders of Comanche on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Mylia Elizabeth Shipman of Comanche on a motion to revoke related to theft of property greater than $50 less than $500.
