Thursday, March 22
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of stolen gasoline from a property in Brookesmith. An estimated 400 gallons were stolen and the cost to replace the fuel is estimated at $1680, according to the report.
Friday, March 23
*8:28am-Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant, a truck driver, reported that someone had added muriatic acid to the diesel fuel system of both of his trucks, causing damage to the fuel systems. Damage to one of the trucks was estimated at $18,500; an estimate to repair the other truck has not been established.
Saturday, March 24
*4:07pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Penn Street regarding a runaway. According to the report, the complainant stated that her granddaughter had not returned home from looking for a job.
Sunday, March 25
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of an ATV and trailer from a residence in Brownwood. According to the report, the complainant valued the ATV at $13,000 and trailer at $1500.
Monday, March 26
*5:03am-Brownwood Police were called to Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an assault which had occurred approximately 3 hours earlier. According to the report, the victim was assaulted by an ex-husband and sustained minor injuries. The suspect also violated an active protective order. The investigation is ongoing.
*9:59am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of 6th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a 16-year-old male was named as a possible suspect.
*2:44pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant identified a suspect and reported damage to the wooden frame of her front door. The cost to repair the damage is estimated at $150.
*3:49pm-Brownwood Police received a report of the attempt to obtain child pornography. According to the report, the complainant stated that her 14-year-old daughter was asked by a 25-year-old male to send pictures of her body via text message to him. Brownwood Police state that the girl did not send the pictures but told her mother of the request which was reported to BPD.
*7:31pm-A Brownwood Police officer was notified that a male who appeared to be intoxicated was in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center. According to the report, the man, identified as 33-year-old Billy Joe Brummett of Brookesmith, told police that he was there to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant for his arrest. No active warrant could be found; however, he was arrested for Public Intoxication.
*7:55pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of 12th Street regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, sometime between the days of March 21 and this date, someone broke into the storage building behind the complainant’s residence and stole a weedeater, a lawnmower and an electric blower.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft at a residence at Lake Brownwood. According to the report, the complainant stated a window air conditioning unit had been stolen.
*1:33pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of Shamrock Shores regarding a suicidal subject who had threatened to take the life of a relative and his own. According to the report, 74-year-old Bobby Jack Cameron had recently had surgery and was suffering a lot of pain according to his wife and has the onset of Alzheimer’s; however the relative feared for her life. Cameron was arrested for Terroristic Threat regarding the incident.
*Early Police arrested 39-year-oldJacinto Esquivel Delacruz for Driving While License Invalid.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Charles Devlyn Dyess of Abilene for Theft of Property less than $50 with Previous Conviction, Criminal Trespass, Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces, Tamper Fabricate Physical Evidence and on an outstanding warrant.
*Department of Public Safety arrested 18-year-old Timothy Gallagher for Driving While Intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Ashley Lin Nicole Mattix for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1 gram and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3 less than 28 grams.

*12:41am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a bicyclist in the area of 2nd Street and Avenue B. According to the report, a brief investigation determined that the bicycle the male was riding had been reported as stolen on March 22nd. The bicyclist, identified as 17-year-old Jeffery Wayne Allen, was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
