Monday, March 23
*11:33 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Coggin Avenue and 8th Street regarding child abuse/neglect. According to the report, a 3-year-old female child was running down the middle of the roadway. The child was returned home uninjured and without incident, the report states. A witness to this incident stated that the child was accompanied by a very protective pit bull dog.
*2:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Duke Street regarding a dog at large. According to the report, the complainant’s dog was attacked by the dog which was running loose. The owner of the dog that was running at large was issued a citation for the ordinance offense.
*9:07 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of C. C. Woodson Road regarding lost property. According to the report, the complainant advised her wallet was missing from her purse.
Tuesday, March 24
*2:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a male subject was reported to have left the store with items concealed in his pockets. The suspect had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival; however, a license plate number for the suspect vehicle was provided.*6:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of N. Main Blvd regarding the alleged sexual assault of a minor. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*7:51 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Avenue I and Austin Avenue. According to the report, a juvenile male was found to be in possession of tobacco and lighters. The juvenile was subsequently issued a citation for minor in possession of tobacco.
*9:28 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4500 block of 4th Street regarding a suspicious vehicle. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of two teens for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called to a property on County Road 339 regarding the theft of electricity. According to the report, an employee of Comanche County Electric Cooperative stated that someone had removed the meter and taped two metal strips into the line, bypassing the meter. The complainant advised that the value of the electricity stolen is $5,000, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Gabriel Chico Campos, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/theft over $1500 under $20,000.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Francisco Diaz, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram. Diaz was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond as of Wednesday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Irene Nicole Hernandez of Brownwood on a warrant related to burglary of a habitation. Hernandez was released from the Brown County Jail on $20,000 bond.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Justin Dewitt Reynolds of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/assault. Reynolds was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested Mecora Marie Smith of Brownwood on a warrant related to public intoxication.
*29-year-old Chad Barron Young of Brownwood was arrested on a warrant related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Wednesday, March 25
*4:56 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Austin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.
