Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, March 25, 2013.
Friday, March 22
*5:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the victim stated that his Dodge Caravan had been struck by a white mid-size SUV, driven by a female with blonde hair. The suspect then left the scene of the accident, states the report.
*6:01 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft. According to the report, loss prevention employees observed a female conceal cosmetics (after removing them from their packaging) inside of her purse and walk with another female who purchased items. The two females then walked past all points of sale and started to exit the store where they were detained by loss prevention until police arrived. The female who concealed the items in her purse was issued a citation for theft less than $50.
*6:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Avenue E regarding the burglary of a habitation. Investigation determined that a storage shed, built for overnight accommodation, was broken into and items were stolen.*6:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been physically assaulted several times by an unknown male. The complainant was unable to give any further information at the time of the report.
*9:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of 11th Street regarding harassment. According to the report, an investigation is ongoing.
*10:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Lane Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant advised that two male subjects were fighting. After an investigation, it was found that the subjects involved were not related and did not wish to press charges. One of the male subjects was issued a criminal trespass warning for the residence.
*10:23 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the complainant advised that her vehicle was struck by a “big white truck” and that the unknown subject did not provide or leave any information after they struck her vehicle.
*10:31 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Melwood. During the stop, the driver, identified as 43-year-old Michael Angel Espitia was arrested for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
*11:17 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a possibly intoxicated driver. The suspect vehicle was located going through the drive through of McDonald’s and a traffic stop was conducted in the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue. After an investigation, the driver, identified as 56-year-old Jessie Lee Justice, was arrested for driving while intoxicated open container.
*Anna Aldrich of Austin was arrested on a warrant for credit card or debit card abuse.
*Early Police arrested 62-year-old Robert Danner of Cross Plains for DWI 3rd or more.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Jordan Cole Means of Brownwood on a warrant for motion to adjudicate for possession of marijuana.
*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Tommi Deann Miller of Brownwood on a warrant for forgery.
Saturday, March 23
*10:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of E. Baker regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her husband moved to Brownwood to open a restaurant recently. They had purchased the building and were working to remodel it and had some items including seating stored inside. Three of the seats had been damaged by a sharp object and the owners suspected that an individual who had been inside working on the business may have caused the damage. Damage is estimated at $45, as the complainant paid $15 each for the seats.
*1:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft. According to the report, a suspect was identified and issued a citation for theft less than $50 and released at the scene.
*3:37 PM – A set of five keys were found at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Magnolia Street. The set of keys were placed into evidence bins until someone properly identifies and claims them.
*8:30 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the area of 18th Street and Avenue D to investigate the report of a female subject screaming for help. According to the report, dispatch advised officers that the location of the female screaming for help was the 2900 block of Avenue D. Upon the officer’s arrival, he met with the resident owner who advised his son should be home; however the suspect could not be located, the report states. The officer was then called to another location where he met with the victim who stated that she was unlawfully restrained against her will and that the male suspect had stolen her phone during the altercation, according to the report.
*9:46 PM – A Brownwood Police officer observed numerous subjects who appeared to be fighting at Coggin Park. According to the report, the officer arrived at the park and was met by a victim who stated that he was hit in the left eye by a closed knife that had been thrown at him. The victim stated that he wished to pursue charges for the assault, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Trevor McQuade Davidson of Blanket on a warrant from Erath County for theft of $50 or more but less than $500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Mario A. Perez of Brownwood on a warrant for no driver’s license.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Aaron Michael Smith of Brownwood for purchase/furnish alcohol to a minor.
Sunday, March 24
*8:07 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the1300 block of Vincent Street on a vehicle for a defective tail lamp. According to the report, during the stop, the driver 43-year-old Annette Darlene Luxton, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of a controlled substance. Luxton was arrested for driving while intoxicated with child passenger and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, according to jail records. Another passenger inside the vehicle was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released at the scene, the report states.
*Texas DPS arrested 55-year-old David Mitchell McClain of Blanket for DWI 1st with open container.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Jeremy Lee Ortega of Brownwood for possession of a dangerous drug.
*Tamara Turner Patterson, 65 of Brownwood, turned herself in on a warrant for theft of property by check.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Megan Lee Ann Perkins for possession of a dangerous drug.
