Thursday, March 17

*11:18 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 114 in reference to an unknown person striking a guard rail on a bridge.   The deputy reported the damage to the precinct commissioner and spoke with the precinct foreman, who arrived on scene.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle had been keyed on the passenger side.

Friday, March 18

*4:27 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding credit/debit abuse.  According to the report, the investigation is ongoing.

*9:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on Early Blvd on a vehicle for an expired vehicle registration. According to the report, the front passenger, identified as 24-year-old Ricky Alexander-Cuell Garcia of Sweetwater, Texas, was arrested for possession of 0.5 grams of marijuana, which was found during a consent search.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant regarding a family violence assault, which had occurred earlier, out in the county on March 12, 2016.  The victim stated she wanted to file a report and has pictures of her bruises per advice from officials at the ARK.  The victim stated that she and her husband were arguing over a lost phone when he shoved her and she fell onto a heater.

*Bangs Police arrested 60-year-old Sandra Bradshaw-Tucker of Bangs on a warrant related to failure to report felony.

*24-year-old Lindsey Nicole Laminack of Gorman, Texas turned herself in on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance not in a penalty group in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Roby Glen Minica of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.  Minica was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond as of Monday morning.

*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Ike Caleb Moseley of Bangs for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Saturday, March 19

*1:07 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop for a defective license plate lamp on a vehicle in the 3600 block of US 377 South in Brownwood.  During the course of the contact, the driver, 45-year-old Francisco Aguirre Delapaz of Brownwood, appeared to be impaired, the report states. Standard field sobriety tests were conducted and Delapaz failed all 3 tests, the report states. Delapaz was arrested and a blood specimen was taken from him after Judge Sam Moss signed a search warrant for it, the deputy reported.

*6:19 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Fisk Avenue to assist a Howard Payne University officer.  According to the report, the officer made contact with a male subject, identified as 19-year-old Jordan Holsonback of Brownwood, who was asleep in his vehicle.  The officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and detained Holsonbeck pending an investigation, the report states.  Marijuana along with several pill pouches and a scale were located and seized, according to the report.  Holsenback was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*8:58 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy Byron Langley was called to Park Drive in Brownwood, regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated someone had taken, without her consent, the trailer hitch for her mobile home.

*3:14 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Apache Court regarding the burglary of a vehicle which included the theft of a firearm.

*5:12 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, an investigation determined that the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Shayla Marie Oliver of Bangs, was in possession of a syringe filled with methamphetamine.  Oliver was also found to have a previous conviction for theft and was enhanced, the report states.  Oliver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 and theft less than $100 enhanced, according to police.

*10:00 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Indian Creek Drive.  According to the report, contact was made with the driver of the vehicle and further investigation found illegal substances/items inside the vehicle.  This stop led to the arrest of 27-year-old Joseph Snyder for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence in Zephyr regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant advised the railroad car on the property, which is used as a cabin, had been burglarized and multiple items were missing. At the time of the report, no suspect information was available.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Nicholas Keith Spearman of Brownwood on warrants related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 and failure to appear/theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 24-year-old Erica Lynn Wilder of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Sunday, March 20

*12:11 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a family violence call in the 700 block of Almond Street.  According to the report, the suspect had already left the location.  While officers were speaking with the victim, the suspect, identified as 55-year-old Enrique Salazar of Brownwood, called the victim and gave his location, the report states.  Officers located Salazar and he was arrested to prevent further assaults from occurring.

*4:16 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Phillips Blvd. regarding an accident.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male individual drove up into his yard and reported that the male’s vehicle had damages that were consistent with being in an accident.  The male was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center and a warrant for the male’s arrest is being sought for driving while intoxicated.

*5:02 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the report of a domestic disturbance. It was determined that 43-year-old James Alan Butts of Brownwood had assaulted a teenage relative and was subsequently arrested and charged with 3rd degree felony continuous violence against the family as he had previously been arrested on 1/3/2016 for assaulting his ex-wife, according to the report.  Butts was later released on $15,000 bond.

*5:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Greenleaf and Sharp Streets regarding a hit and run accident.

*8:10 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Belle Plain Street regarding a domestic disturbance involving an assault.

*10:19 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of US Highway 183 North and County Road 339 in Early on a vehicle which had an obstructed license plate.  According to the report, during the course of the contact, the front passenger eventually admitted she had marijuana in the car.  A probable cause search was conducted, which led to the discovery of about 14.5 grams of marijuana without packaging, the report states.  After conducting a field investigation, the passenger, identified as 35-year-old Nicole Marie Cohan of Abilene, Texas, was arrested for the contraband located in the car and the car was released back to the driver, according to the report.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display a license plate light.  According to the report, upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, the deputy could smell the odor of fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle. After an investigation and a search of the vehicle, it was determined the front seat passenger, identified as 22-year-old Ailee Aschoff of Maupan, Oregon, was in possession of 1.1 gram of marijuana in her purse, the report states.  The deputy released the other 2 occupants; however, Aschoff was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, according to the report.  It should be noted while Officer Goodwin was conducting a more thorough search of Aschoff’s purse, she located an unused joint in an Altoids can, which had a total weight of 0.6 grams with paper, the report states.  The joint was added to evidence, the deputy reported.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling south on County Road 291 for speeding.  According to the report, while making contact with the driver, identified as 22-year-old John Wusterhausen of Florence, Texas, the deputy could smell fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle.   The deputy had the driver exit the vehicle, and after an investigation and a search of the vehicle was conducted Wusterhausen was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana < 2ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested 52-year-old Warren James Bellinger, Jr. of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Richard Paul Fields of Brownwood on a warrant related to sex offender’s duty to register life/annually.  Fields was later released on $10,000 bond.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Hayden Chase Hammond of May Texas for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Brittany Leanne Martin of May, Texas for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Amber Spearman on warrants related to two counts of theft of property greater than $20 by check enhanced and theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 by check and theft of services equal or greater than $20 less than $500.
