Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, March 21, 2012.

Monday, March 19

*8:32am-Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Broadmoor Circle regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that between March 17-19, someone scratched his vehicle on the hood and front driver’s side door.  A suspect has been named in the incident.

*9:58am-Brownwood Police were called to the area of Greenway and Good Shepherd regarding found property.  According to the report, the complainant found a bicycle lying up next to a fence which appeared to be abandoned.  The bicycle was not found to be stolen and was placed in the Brownwood Police Department’s impound until its owner can properly identify and claim it.

*10:00am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen his electric wheelchair, valued at $7,000, sometime over the past month.

*11:01am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Austin Avenue regarding a unicycle which had been stolen during the afternoon of March 18th.  The unicycle was recovered; however it was completely destroyed, the report states.  Its value was estimated at $120. There were no suspects identified at the time of the report.

 

Tuesday, March 20

*10:45am-A Brownwood Police officer while on duty at Brownwood High was called to the 2700 block of Southside Drive regarding two males who smelled like marijuana.  According to the report, administration noticed the odor.  The report states that an investigation found that one of the males was in possession of drug paraphernalia and therefore was given a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

*2:49pm-Brownwood Police were called to the area of 2400 Songbird Circle regarding theft.  According to the report, an unknown suspect stole various items of jewelry and money from the complainant’s room at the Songbird Lodge Retirement Center.  There were no suspects at the time of the report.

*4:05pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a domestic disturbance.  An investigation of Assault or Offensive Touch toward Family Member is ongoing.  There were no injuries or arrests on scene, the report states.

*5:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Avenue D regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her lawnmower was stolen from under her carport.  No suspects had been determined at the time of the report.

*6:22pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a field near the intersection of 8th Street and Avenue N regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, an officer located suspects and a vehicle which was stuck in the mud.  The owner of the field was contacted and desired to press charges.  No arrests had been made at the time of the report; however charges are pending.

*10:39pm-Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop for speeding in the 1800 block of US Hwy 377S.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 33-year-old Erasmo Castaneda, was found to have a denied Texas Driver’s License at the time and was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*11:30pm-Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gill Street.  According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, 46-year-old Mark Myron Crawford, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen gate and brass tubing which was stolen from a property in Brownwood between March 1st and March 17th.  The items were valued at $250. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*While patrolling on Hwy 67/84, a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 21-year-old Dylan Robert Kennedy of Farmer’s Branch, appeared nervous.  The deputy asked if Kennedy had any drugs on him and he admitted that he was in possession of marijuana, the report states. Upon a probable cause search, the deputy was able to locate marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Kennedy was then arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Wednesday, March 21

*12:19am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 7th Street and Brady Avenue.  According to the report, the driver failed to signal a left hand turn. This stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 26-year-old Jeremy Theodore Roddam, for Driving While License Invalid with no Liability Insurance, the report states.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
