Thursday, March 19

*1:10 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the local domestic violence shelter regarding a subject who reported being drugged and kidnapped.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject would not let her leave her house and drugged her.  The complainant and the suspect had a dating relationship in the past and therefore a report of assault family violence was taken, according to law enforcement.

*3:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of Carol Applegate for theft equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*4:32 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Southside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a female complainant stated that she had been assaulted by her husband at their residence a few days earlier.

*8:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Waco Street regarding credit card abuse.   According to the report, the complainant stated that their credit card number had been used in various places around the Houston, Texas area.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*9:35 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Willis Street regarding harassment.

*10:34 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Hackberry Street. This stop led to the arrests of 21-year-old Marcus Alton Phillips of Brownwood for the offense of driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility and 31-year-old Grant Lee Norris of Brownwood for tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, according to the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the unauthorized use of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative had taken her vehicle from her residence near Brownwood without permission.  Calls for service logs indicated that there had been an ongoing family disagreement between the parties during the past week, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.   According to the report, the complainant stated that she had loaned her vehicle to a friend in February and that the friend had allowed other individuals to use the vehicle.  The complainant is not able to locate her vehicle and would like it to be returned.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of identity theft from a complainant in Blanket.  According to the report, the complainant’s name, social security number and address have been fraudulently used to open up numerous accounts without her knowledge or permission.  She is working with a law firm to clear the fraudulent accounts from her credit report, law enforcement records state.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Jon Devin Canon of Austin on warrants related to three counts of theft of property, failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, failure to appear/tamper fabricate physical evidence, failure to maintain financial responsibility, driving while license invalid, expired driver’s license, and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Destiny Marie Jacobo of Lubbock for possession of marijuana equal or greater than 5 lbs less than 50 lbs.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Elijah John Marquez of Lubbock for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*18-year-old Rudy Jo Vara III of Lubbock was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Alfredo L. Vasquez, Jr. of Brownwood for warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia, violate promise to appear, and theft of property $50-$500 (Comanche).

Friday, March 20

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Clayton Douglas Bounds of Brownwood on warrants related to unlawful possession of a firearm and theft of firearm.  Bounds was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $65,000.

*43-year-old Frederick Lee Hemphill of Coleman was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, money laundering equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000, and driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

*29-year-old James Neil Ward of Richland Springs turned himself in on warrants related to no valid inspection sticker and violate promise to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Michael Edmundo Zimmer of San Saba on a warrant related to failure to appear/driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.  Zimmer was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond as of Friday morning.
