*1:32pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Checks Plus, 557 W. Commerce, regarding fraud. According to the report, surveillance video was reviewed and a suspect identified. An investigation is ongoing.
Thursday, March 1
*7:00am-Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of Center Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary. According to the report, the burglary had occurred overnight and a CD player, a tool bag, and a wallet with approximately $240.00 cash was taken. The report states no forced entry was noted and no suspect was identified at the time of the report.
*8:11am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Brady Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary. According to the report, several items were reported stolen by the complainant who wished to pursue charges if a suspect could be identified.*10:27am-Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched regarding the theft of a white 2000 Ford Ranger extended cab step side pickup. According to the report, a gray tool box with miscellaneous tools which was in the bed of the pickup was also stolen. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
*11:46am-Brownwood Police were called to the Law Enforcement Center regarding a Texas License Plate which was found in the Veteran’s Clinic parking lot at 2600 block of Memorial Park Drive.
*3:11pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant’s ex-husband was issued a criminal trespass warning for the complainant’s address in the 1500 block of 7th Street.
*6:50pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a possible theft which had just occurred at Radio Shack. The suspect vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated in the 500 block of W. Commerce. 21-year-old Megan Joe Regino of San Angelo was placed under arrest for an outstanding No Driver’s License warrant and Theft less than $50. A male occupant of the vehicle was issued a citation for Theft less than $50.
*10:35pm-A Brownwood Police officer was patrolling west in the 300 block of E. Commerce when a pickup truck appeared to be speeding. According to the report, the officer was able to catch up with the truck in the 100 block of E. Commerce where it was observed to change lanes without signaling. The vehicle was stopped and the driver, identified as 41-year-old Roy Don Andrews, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.
*10:55pm-Brownwood Police received a report of three juveniles, 2 boys and a girl, who appeared to be “heavily intoxicated” and that one of them was repeatedly falling in the roadway. According to Brownwood Police, the complainant stated that he saw the juveniles enter a home in the 2200 block of Avenue D. When officers arrived at the house they found two males, ages 14 and 18, intoxicated and found a bottle of Vodka they had been drinking. Both males were very belligerent and had to be handcuffed while officers spoke to the 18-year-old’s grandparents with whom he lives, police reported. The 14-year-old’s mother arrived at the residence and said she was taking her son to the hospital, according to authorities. While the officer spoke to the grandparents, another mother called and stated that her 14-year-old son and his girlfriend had arrived at her house in the 2100 block of 14th Street and appeared to have been drinking and doing drugs and was now passed out on the front lawn, said police. It was discovered that the Vodka that the four juveniles had been drinking was stolen from the juvenile female’s father. The 14-year-old male at this residence was transported to the hospital by Guardian EMS for possible alcohol poisoning at the mother’s request, according to police.
*11:57pm-A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol in the 1300 block of Avenue G when he observed a pickup with an expired registration. A traffic stop was made and the driver, 46-year-old Carolyn Sue May, was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license and that the vehicle was not currently insured, according to police reports. May was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with no Liability Insurance.
Friday, March 2
*1:59am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue, Allsup’s convenience store, regarding intoxicated subjects being disorderly. According to the report, the officer arrived and located all of the intoxicated subjects. One of the subjects, identified as 55-year-old Louis Ray Dodson of Zephyr, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with an open container in the vehicle. The others who were intoxicated were released to a responsible sober individual.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
