Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, March 18, 2014.
Monday, March 17
*1:08 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding a forgery.
*2:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 36-year-old Patricia Ann Cody of Coleman for the offense of theft less than $1500 with two or more previous convictions. Cody was also arrested on two Brown County warrants.
*9:33 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the area of 4th Street and Magnolia regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a cell phone had been broken during an argument and the complainant wished to pursue charges for criminal mischief. Officers were informed that there was no physical contact between the two subjects, the report states.
*11:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding a suicidal male. According to the report, the male advised that he was not suicidal but refused to cooperate with his girlfriend to go home for the night. The male, identified as 37-year-old Martin Brandon Dudley of Brownwood was arrested for public intoxication.*12:04 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of a welder from a residence on County Road 436.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Robert Ramirez conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense. According to the report, while making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, Deputy Ramirez located 1.6 grams of marijuana in plain sight in the glove box of the vehicle. The passenger, identified as 18-year-old Victor Vladimir Galindo of Dallas, claimed ownership of the contraband and was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Lacey Roxanne Culpepper of Santa Anna for public intoxication.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Mark Damacus of Lubbock for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*53-year-old Gina Renee Duvall of La Mesa, California turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Brian Mayhew of Rowlett for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram.
Tuesday, March 18
*12:39 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, an investigation determined that an assault had taken place and 33-year-old Julie Barrios of Brownwood was determined to be the primary aggressor in the disturbance. Barrios was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*4:20 AM – A Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 600 block of Avenue G. According to the report, during the traffic stop investigation, the officers discovered a prohibited weapon in plain sight. Officers than searched the vehicle for any additional prohibited weapons and located another prohibited weapon, a .38 caliber handgun, the report states. At the conclusion of the investigation the driver, identified as 27-year-old Raynaldo Maldonado of Coleman, was arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon (knuckles) and the unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
