Friday, March 15
*10:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Main Street regarding an unwanted person. The report states that police found a vehicle parked in the roadway with the reported person, Jason Jones, inside. Jones, age 47 of Brownwood, was arrested for DWI as a result of the call.
*Brownwood Police arrested 45-year-old Christopher Lynn Cantrell of Brownwood on the charge of sexual assault. He is accused of assaulting a wheelchair-bound female resident at a local nursing home while he was employed as a nursing aide.
*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Ruben Dedesma of Los Angeles, CA for a parole violation.
*Brownwood Police arrested 47-year-old Gabriel Uvalle Hernandez of Goldthwaite on a parole violation.
*Brownwood City Marshal arrested 29-year-old Michael Lee Mcann on municipal warrants for failure to maintain financial responsibility and expired registration.
*Texas DPS trooper arrested 52-year-old Ricky Dean Reed for intoxication assault with vehicle.
*Cassondra Roberts turned herself in on a warrant for motion to adjudicate for theft of property by check.
*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Nicholas Shade Salinas on a warrant for delivery of marijuana less than or equal to ¼ oz and possession of marijuana.
*Early Police arrested 21-year-old Colt Aaron Scott of Brownwood for DWI.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Markus Coley Smart of Brownwood on a warrant for a parole violation.
Saturday, March 16
*12:30 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a report of a hit and run accident in the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue.
*6:55 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of a possible missing person from the 1000 block of Avenue I. The missing person’s roommate said that he had not returned home after a bicycle ride.
*10:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a report of a hit and run accident in the 1900 block of Avenue C. Another damaged vehicle was discovered in the 1000 block of 6th Street. The suspect vehicles left the scene of both accidents.
*10:58 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of an assault in the 1400 block of Main Blvd. The victim told police that she heard her dogs barking, and when she went outside, she found a male suspect standing on her front porch, the report states. The victim told police that she told the suspect to leave, but he entered the home without permission. The woman attempted to push the man out of her residence, and then the suspect hit her in the check with his fist, the report states. The victim stated that she then picked up a metal handled broom and began hitting the suspect until he left her property, according to the report. The suspect was located several blocks away by Brownwood Police officers and was found to be very intoxicated the report states. He had several contusions to his face and head, according to the report. The suspect was treated at the scene by EMS and transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center by EMS.
*Texas DPS trooper arrested 62-year-old Maria Abascal of Bangs for DWI.
*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Kevin Dwayne Caudle of Brownwood for violating promise to appear and two other warrants.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Jimmy Lee Hallum of Early for assault family violence and criminal mischief.
*Texas DPS trooper arrested 25-year-old Kolby Zane Holmes of Bangs on a warrant for theft of property by check.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Rocky Gordon Martinez of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
Sunday, March 17
*3:22 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a medical emergency in the 1200 block of 1st Street. Guardian EMS personnel were on scene with a patient who had passed out and was acting erratically. The report states that the female subject had been smoking K2 prior to passing out. She was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
*12:51 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a hit and run accident in the 100 block of E. Commerce.
*5:38 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a home in the 1200 block of 6th Street regarding some found property. The complainants said that they were working on their septic tank when they found several firearms inside. The tank was dry at the time.
*8:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Vincent regarding a domestic disturbance. The call resulted in Julia Vargas, 24 of Brownwood, being arrested for assault bodily injury family violence.
*10:30 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of criminal mischief in the 800 block of Hendricks. The complainant told police that her car had been keyed while she was at Tequila Nights Club.
*Early Police arrested 62-year-old Robert Danner of May for DWI 3rd or more.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Cody Ray Jester of Leander for possession of controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
*Brownwood Police arrested 52-year-old Feliz Trevino, Jr. on a warrant for public intoxication.
