Friday, March 14

*10:28 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of 7th Street regarding criminal mischief.   According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person or persons keyed her vehicle and slashed a tire on the vehicle while it was parked on the street overnight.  The complainant estimated the damages at approximately $340.

*12:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Avenue B regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated a 3 gallon air compressor (valued at $75) along with a two-wheel dolly (valued at $65) had been stolen sometime between Friday, March 7th and this date.  The complainant did wish to pursue criminal charges if a suspect can be identified.

*1:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2900 block of Memorial Park Drive regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he was threatened by a male subject and that the threats and harassment has been an ongoing issue.  The complainant did want to pursue criminal charges against the subject, who at the time had not been located for an interview, the report states.

*6:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect backed into his vehicle the night prior to this date and fled the scene without leaving the required information.

*6:02 PM – BCSO Deputy Marsh took a phone call From Nick Ferguson with the Texas Department of Health regarding a rabies exposure, which occurred in Brown County.  Ferguson advised that a female resident of Brown County had taken a 6 week old puppy to the vet, due to abnormal behavior.   The animal was euthanized and sent to the Health Department to be tested for rabies; with a positive result.

*6:31 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance.

*7:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim stated that a neighbor had allegedly put a knife to his throat and threatened to kill him.  A report was filed at the victim’s request.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Sliter was dispatched to a suspicious call on FM 1176 regarding a white truck that was parked in the bar ditch with its headlights on.  According to the report, the caller reported that the vehicle had left the area and was traveling towards town.   Deputy Sliter made a traffic stop on a vehicle that fit the description, which also was displaying an expired registration, on US Hwy 377 South, the report states.  The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as 21-year-old Joseph Trey Martinez of Brady, and asked for consent to search the vehicle, according to the report. Martinez denied me consent and the K-9 unit was called out to the location. The K-9 alerted on the passenger side of the vehicle, the report states.  During the search of the vehicle, Deputy Sliter located a small clear baggy with 1.2 grams of methamphetamine under the center console area;  a scale; and a brown case, which contained a large amount of unused baggies that are commonly used for narcotics, according to the report.  Martinez was placed under arrest for manufacture delivery of controlled substance PG1 greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report by phone regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that overnight, someone broken out the window of his pickup which was parked in the carport outside of his residence just east of Bangs on Pebble Drive.  The damage was estimated at $425.

*BSCO Deputy Sliter was dispatched to a residence on FM 1176 in regards to a burglary that had already occurred.  The deputy spoke with the complainant who advised that someone had broken into her property.  The property was cleared to make sure no suspect was still on the property, and the complainant was allowed to come onto the land. The deputy took photos of the damage and noted the property that was taken from the barn and storage shed.

Saturday, March 15

*1:40 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 4th Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, an alleged simple assault had occurred at a party at 1st Street and Avenue J.  The victim had no visible injuries and declined medical attention, the report states.

*9:36 AM – Brownwood Police received a report via telephone call of theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject is suspected of stealing checks from him and forging them for money.

*5:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding harassment.  According to the report, a 48-year-old woman had been harassing the victim with phone calls and had allegedly entered the victim’s residence without consent and caused a disturbance.  The woman was issued a criminal trespass warning at the victim’s request.

*17:21 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy John Gramling was dispatched to the 25000 block of County Road 438 regarding an abandoned vehicle.  According to the report, the deputy arrived to find a stationary vehicle, on the right hand lane of the roadway, which was a traffic hazard due to its position.   After attempting to locate the registered owner, dispatch advised the deputy that no phone number was able to be located for the owner.  The vehicle was subsequently towed from the scene.

*6:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 42-year-old Rosetta Ivery of Brownwood for theft greater than $50 less than $500 enhanced, due to previous convictions.

*8:10 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue C regarding an unsecure premise.  According to the report, the renter of the residence had returned to find the front door of the residence open and requested an officer to clear the house.  No suspect was present; however, the renter found some items missing from the home, the report states.

*9:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, this call for service led to the arrest of 21-year-old Russell Dunn.

Sunday, March 16

*2:35 AM – BCSO Deputy Byron Langley, Sgt Pete Bastardo, and Deputy Terry Sliter were called to the 5600 block of County Road 153 in Bangs, TX regarding underage drinking.  As a result of the call 18-year-old Hunter Landon Burnett was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana < 2oz.

*5:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue C regarding assault family violence.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male relative had hit her in the face with his fist and that she wished to pursue charges.

*10:23 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of E. Commerce Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person had cut the two front tires of her vehicle during the night while it was parked in the parking lot.  The front passenger tire had been replaced on Saturday because it had been cut some time Friday night, March 14th.

*12:32 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Avenue B regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject had thrown a rock through a kitchen window at her residence.

*1:28 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding harassment.  According to the report, a female complainant stated that some unknown suspect(s) were calling her phone and sending her sexually explicit text messages.

*4:31 PM – Brownwood police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding fraudulent destruction, removal or concealment of writing.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had removed a price tag from a less expensive item, placed it on a more expensive item and then purchased the more expensive item for the wrong price.

*6:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Avenue D regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her estranged husband had threatened to come to the residence and “shoot them in the head.”

*6:09 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of 4th Street regarding a domestic disturbance, which is still under investigation, the report states.
