Tuesday, March 10

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to FM 590 in Zephyr regarding a scam.  According to the report, the victim stated that she was working to get an unsecured loan from an internet company.  The victim had sent three payments in the form of Walmart money grams to the loan company as fees, the report states.  The total the victim sent was $1151.95; however, no loan was sent to the victim and the company did not return her calls, the report states.

Friday, March 13

*8:56 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Coggin regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had damaged the mirror of his motorcycle while it was parked in the driveway of his residence.

*1:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the report of a theft on Cherokee Drive in North Lake Brownwood.  The complainant stated that six 12 volt (golf cart) batteries valued at $1000 had been stolen within the past 2-3 weeks, the report states.

*4:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Riverside Park regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, a male subject was cursing and harassing a couple and using racial slurs.  The subject, identified as 34-year-old James Williamson of Brownwood, was located and subsequently arrested for public intoxication.

*6:21 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Avenue B regarding a burglary.

*6:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding a theft in progress.

*6:52 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy spoke with 25-year-old Jason Dewayne Anderson of Blanket and 24-year-old Victoria Shai Pope of Bangs in the 8000 block of CR 604 in Brownwood.  According to the report, during the conversation, Anderson admitted to having a warrant for his arrest and was subsequently arrested for the warrant.  Anderson and Pope were also charged with possession of marijuana which was discovered during the course of the encounter, the report states.

*7:23 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop after the officer observed a traffic violation.  This stop led to the arrest of 55-year-old James R. Bindel of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated, the report states.

*10:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding criminal mischief.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft of medication from a residence on Schooner Drive in May.  A possible suspect was named, the report states.

*28-year-old Kerissa Kay Bell of May turned herself in on a warrant related to possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Randoll Gerardo Berumen of Brownwood regarding failure to appear/theft.

*Bangs Police arrested 27-year-old Jonathan Wesley Branscum of Bangs for Driving while license invalid.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Melinda Kay Ford Crosby of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/endangering child.  Crosby was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $45,000 bond as of Monday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Florentino Steven Lucero, Jr. on a warrant related to public intoxication.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 49-year-old John Michael Salazar of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams.  Salazar was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $40,000 as of Monday.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Robert Brian White of Bangs on a parole violation.

Saturday, March 14

*6:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a citizen’s dispute.  According to the report, after multiple statements were taken, an active report for assault bodily injury and assault with a deadly weapon.

*Early Police arrested 25-year-old Jerrod Levi Stembridge of Bangs for public intoxication.

Sunday, March 15

*12:05 AM – A Brownwood police officer observed a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop.  According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 47-year-old Sylvia Moreno of Brownwood for the offense of driving while intoxicated open container.

*9:14 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 700 block of W. Commerce regarding speeding (51 in a 45 mph zone).  This stop led to the discovery of a small amount of marijuana and a marijuana pipe, the report states.  The driver was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and released from the scene.

*10:47 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Slayden Street regarding the theft of cell phones.  According to the report, the phones were recovered destroyed and the suspect 20-year-old Luis Alanis of May was arrested for criminal mischief greater than $500 less than $1500.

*9:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of China Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the officer spoke to 17-year-old Kaitlin Donahoo of Early who confessed to breaking a window.  Donahoo was arrested for criminal mischief over $50 and under $500.

*3:12 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, the suspect had fled the scene; however, suspect and vehicle descriptions were obtained as the subjects fled the area.  The vehicle was located a short time later and a traffic stop was made which led to the identification of the suspect as 61-year-old James Allen Reynolds of Bangs, the report states.  Reynolds was arrested and charged with theft greater than $1500 with two or more previous convictions.

*1:48 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Fox Hollow Lane regarding a physical domestic disturbance in progress.  According to the report, a female was assaulted by a known subject after she was instructed to move from the residence.  The suspect was not arrested because evidence linking him to the complainant’s injuries was not sufficient, the report states.  The parties were separated and the incident was documented.

*5:45 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to Gobbler Lane in Early regarding theft of firearms.  According to the report, a possible suspect had been named.

*6:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of San Benito regarding the burglary of a building.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was assisting an Early Police officer at a residence on Hillcrest Drive where 52-year-old Harold Lance Collins of Brownwood was reported to be passed out in his front yard.  According to the report, upon the deputy’s arrival, Collins was sitting on the ground with three people around him.  Law enforcement had been called to four incidents at his arrest that day and when asked what was going on, Collins started to get upset, the report states.  After being told to calm down, Collins attempted to stand up and began threatening the deputy who shoved him back to the ground and placed handcuffs on him.  During transport to the jail, Collins threatened the deputy multiple times and once released to the jail, began to threaten the jail staff as well.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Harry Lancaster for driving while intoxicated.

*47-year-old Jesus Sierra Linan of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to failure to appear/violation of protective order.  Linan was released on $7500 bail.

Monday, March 16

*2:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of Cottage Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a rock through the back window of a vehicle parked legally on the side of the road.  The rock went through the back window and hit the front window causing it to break as well.

*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Christopher Ryan Fell of Brownwood on a warrant related to driving while license invalid.
