A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the report of a man throwing beer bottles and making lewd hand gestures at passing vehicles along the Day’s Hills area of Hwy 279 at approximately 11:49pm Thursday.  According to the report, the man, identified as 48-year-old Michael Miguel Hernandez, was located walking northbound in the area of Dead Man’s Curve a found to be heavily intoxicated.  The deputy found a 375ml bottle of whiskey which was about 1/3 full in Hernandez’s back pocket and an empty 12 ounce can of Bud Light and Clamato (which Hernandez’s admitted ownership of) on the ground at his feet, according to the report.  The sheriff’s report states that due to his state of intoxication and the fact that he was walking along a heavily traveled roadway on which vehicles travel at a high rate of speed, it was believed that he was a danger to himself and others and therefore arrested for Public Intoxication.

Wednesday, March 14

*11:27am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Belmeade regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, items stolen from the vehicle included a .45 caliber handgun and a pair of Oakley sunglasses.  There were no suspects at the time of the report.

 

*11:47am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 2700 block of Elizabeth.

*1:32pm-A Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Brady Avenue.  According to the report, the driver who was identified as 25-year-old Marcus Daniel Gray, had a suspended license and was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*3:20pm-Brownwood Police responded to a suspicious call in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  According to the report, a man came into the business and presented a gun, it was not known whether the man intended to pawn or sell the gun or if he had other motives.  Multiple agencies responded to the location; however the man had left the scene before police arrived, according to Brownwood Police Department officials.  The incident is currently under investigation, the report states.

*3:35pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of 12th Street regarding found property.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he found a bicycle behind Kroger’s in the drainage ditch around 12:30am.  The bicycle was not found to be stolen and was placed into the Brownwood Police Department property room for safe keeping until it could be properly identified and claimed by its owner.

*8:04pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, a known subject struck the side of the building with a vehicle.

*8:37pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her son had punched her in the face during an argument.

*10:25pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of W. Adams regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend was “going to kill her.”  This call led to the arrest of 30-year-old Damian Wade Manchester for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 38-year-old Juan Carlos Carbrera for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3 less than 28 grams and on two outstanding warrants.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
