LECSm brownwood texasBrown County Sheriff’s Office made multiple arrests Wednesday afternoon for theft of scrap metal in the Thrifty area.

According to Brown County Sheriff’s officials, deputies responded to the report of theft around 2:00 PM Wednesday.  Based on the vehicle description, the suspects were caught with a load of electric motors from multiple victims’ properties.  At this point, three victims have been identified and possibly more victims will be identified, according to law enforcement officials investigating the case.   Jail records state that 21-year-old Jason Allen Bigham, 20-year-old Juan Gonzales Robles, Jr. and 21-year-old Jose Omar Sandoval were each arrested for Theft of property equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000.  Investigators state that a juvenile was also involved.  According to BCSO investigators, the investigation is continuing.

Wednesday, March 13

*11:45 AM – Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Avenue H for expired registration.  According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 26-year-old Marcus Daniel Gray, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended Texas identification card and also had no liability insurance on the vehicle.  Gray was arrested and charged with driving while license invalid failure to maintain financial responsibility.

*2:38 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Avenue K regarding an expired registration.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 50-year-old Cynthia Notgrass, was found to be in possession of a pipe containing a white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine.  Notgrass was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*11:44 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 2nd Street regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, as officers arrived on scene they saw a male subject in the yard pointing to the house, where another man could be seen inside.  The male, identified as Bobby Suniga, Jr. exited the house, walked toward the officer and without being told, placed his hands behind his back, according to the police report.  Suniga was handcuffed for officer safety during the investigation, which required two sets of handcuffs because of his body size, the report states.  The complainant stated that he and his girlfriend were inside the residence when they received a phone call that they did not answer.  The caller (Suniga) began sending text messages, then came to the house and began pounding on the side door, the report states.  When the complainant told Suniga to leave, he forced the door open, came inside and began making verbal threats to the complainant and his brother, the report states.  Suniga resisted arrest and would not cooperate in being placed into a patrol unit, the report states.  Officers called Guardian EMS for Suniga’s safety.  He began spitting at officers and spit on an EMT, which landed her on the leg, according to the report.  Suniga was transported in the ambulance to the jail with two officers present.  Once at the jail, Suniga was removed from the stretcher and placed onto a restrain chair due to his continually making threats toward officers, the report states.  Suniga was charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault.

*11:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Magnolia regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a third party caller advised that a male had his hand around the neck of a female as they were walking down Magnolia, he was reported to have been pushing her toward Southside Drive.  Officers located the male and female in the parking lot of the Chaparral Apartments.  As a result of the incident, 34-year-old Byron Mitchell was arrested for family violence and resisting arrest.

*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Ezra Jacob Berry on a warrant related to criminal trespass in a habitation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Rosette June Bouteiller on a warrant for motion to revoke related to driving while license invalid.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Elizabeth Lynn Felipe of Coleman on a warrant for motion to adjudicate related to possession of a controlled substance.

Thursday, March 14

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Teddy Bryan Faries of Coleman for fraudulent possession of a controlled substance/prescription schedule III/IV.

*Early Police arrested 31-year-old Joe Vasquez IV for driving while license invalid.
