Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, March 14, 2012.

Monday, March 12

*8:01am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Avenue J regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated sometime between 1:00am and 8:00am, an unknown subject(s) broke out the front right window of the complainant’s vehicle and stole the complainant’s wallet, Texas driver’s license, a debit card and $36.00 cash.

*8:16am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 4th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, between 10:00pm on March 11th and 8:16am March 12th, an unknown suspect broke out the front passenger side window of the complainant’s vehicle and stole $200.00 cash and a TexasBank debit card.  The damage was estimated at $500.00 to repair the window.

*8:51am-A Brownwood Police officer, while on patrol in the 3400 block of 4th Street, observed nine mailboxes which had been damaged.  All but two of the homeowners were able to be contacted at that time and none wanted to pursue criminal charges.

*12:01pm-Brownwood Police were called to the burglary of a vehicle in the 1800 block of Vincent.  According to the report, between 1:00am and 12:01 on March 12th, an unknown subject(s) made entry into the complainant’s two vehicles and stole two amps, three sub-woofers, two speaker boxes, two credit cards and $100.00 cash.

*12:51pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of San Benito Drive regarding narcotics.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had found some drugs and drug paraphernalia in a suitcase at her house and wanted to turn it into the police.  Both the paraphernalia and the narcotics were seized as evidence and a report was generated for further investigation.

*1:07pm-Brownwood Police responded to Wall Moulding regarding a fraudulent check.  An investigation is continuing.

*4:28pm-Brownwood Police were called to Coggin Park regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, a teenage female was using vulgar language in the presence of young children.  The officer identified and met with the suspect regarding the incident.

*7:05pm-Brownwood Police responded to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant’s truck was struck while in the parking lot and the suspect left the scene without providing their information.  Information about the suspect vehicle was obtained from a witness and the investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*8:29pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, Brookshire’s, regarding theft.  According to the report, two store employees reported that they had caught the suspect, 33-year-old Todd Dana Turner, stealing property from the store.  Turner was arrested for Theft less than $1500 with Two or More Convictions, Enhanced and Criminal Trespass.

Tuesday, March 13

*8:16am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Coggin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated sometime between the hours of 5:00pm March 9th and 8:00am an unknown suspect broke the right window of a company vehicle with what appeared to be a BB.  There was no suspect information at the time of the report.  The cost to repair the window was estimated at $100.00.

*1:24pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding an alleged sexual assault of a child.  According to the report, an investigation has begun and Child Protective Services were notified of the incident.

*2:11pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding a case of fraud.   According to the report, an employee at a local check cashing business stated that a customer had tried to cash a counterfeit check at the business.

*5:03pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of Fisk Avenue regarding a suspicious person.   The subject had left the scene before police arrived; however store management requested a criminal trespass warning be issued to the subject.

*7:22pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a suspicious person near the Mountain View area of Lake Brownwood.  According to the report, the deputy arrived to find a male, identified as David Lane Boudreaux, sitting in a driveway and he did not know where he was and appeared to be under the influence of some drug or medication.  During the investigation, the suspect stated that he had been driving for 14 hours and thought he was near his parents’ home in Montgomery, Texas, the report states.  The subject was frisked, revealing a marijuana pipe, then a second pipe was found in his back pack, the report states.  Boudreaux was arrested and gave the deputy consent to search his vehicle which was parked nearby in the roadway.  Additional paraphernalia and a small quantity of marijuana was found, according to the report.  Boudeaux was charged with Possession of Marijuana Less than 2 ounces and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

*10:08pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her men’s wallet containing approximately $120 in cash was stolen off of the top of a RedBox machine between the hours of 9:15pm-10:00pm.

*Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of theft of jewelry from a home on County Road 225.

*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Timothy Jason Knox for Public Intoxication.

*Texas DPS arrested 38-year-old Brandie Ann Lamb from Cross Plains for Possession of a Controlled Substance, less than one gram.

Wednesday, March 14

*12:41am-Brownwood Police received a report of theft of medication.  According to the report, 42-50 prescription hydrocodone 10/500 mg pills were stolen from the complainant and a possible suspect was named.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
