Wednesday, March 11
*1:47 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center. The complainant advised a known suspect stole some of their personal checks and has been forging them with the complainant’s signature, the report states.
*2:48 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on Waterford Drive regarding the theft of a license plate of a trailer.
*2:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Brady Avenue regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the complainant stated that her mother’s storage building had been broken into and items were missing. Items stolen included a medical bed, wheel chair, computer, sewing machine, golf clubs and furniture, the report states.
Thursday, March 12
*2:30 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to Lakeside Drive regarding the theft of three wooden craved bears from the front porch of the residence.*2:35 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on O’Neal Drive in Bangs regarding an aggressive dog. According to the report, when the deputy arrived at the residence to talk to the owners of the dog, an unleashed and aggressive dog ran at him causing the deputy to fire three shots toward the dog to defend himself. The dog rolled over on its side and then ran away and was not located, the report states. The dog is presumed to be possibly wounded or dead, the report states.
*4:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, two females were observed stealing items from the store; however, upon the officer’s arrival, they had left the scene. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*5:21 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the law enforcement center regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had burned some of her clothing and attempted to take some money out of her bank account.
*8:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of W. Commerce regarding an assault. According to the report, no arrests were made but a report of assault family violence was taken.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Joshua James Burch of Brownwood on a warrant related to two counts of forgery of a financial instrument. Burch was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Herbert Lee Sanders, III, of Comanche regarding warrants related to theft of metal and theft.
*The Brown City Marshal arrested 29-year-old James Michael Worsham of Brownwood on warrants related to theft and failure to appear.
Friday, March 13
*2:56 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Indian Creek Drive regarding disorderly conduct with an assault being reported.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Steven Douglas Freeman of Early on a McClennen County warrant related to theft over $1500 less than $20,000.
