*3:52pm-Brownwood Police received a report by phone from a complainant who stated that her vehicle had been broken into for a second time. According to the report, a Dell Inspiron laptop computer, a pink computer case and a black and pink wireless mouse were stolen in the incident. The stolen items are valued at $1,100 according to the report. An investigation is pending.

*1:50am-Early Police were called to the Avalon Motel regarding a disturbance. According to the report, 43-year-old Rudolfo Reyna had been in an argument with another unknown subject and the Early Police Officer had come to separate them. Reyna attempted to negotiate with the EPD officer and was warned that if he stepped out of his motel room, he would be arrested for public intoxication. He continued to open and shut his door, and opened his window to yell profanities at the officer and a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy who had come to the location to assist. Reyna eventually stepped out of his room and when he was told he was being arrested, he ran back into his room, where the officers followed, the report states. Reyna resisted being cuffed and kicked the deputy’s patrol car and kicked the deputy in the chest. Reyna was secured in both rear seatbelts and continued to kick the patrol vehicle while in transport, so the deputy warned him he would be pepper sprayed and he continued. According to the deputy, he sprayed Reyna one burst and Reyna kicked him in the hand which was holding the pepper spray. He continued to kick the inside of the patrol car the entire way to the jail according to the report. Reyna was charged with Public Intoxication, Resisting Arrest and Assaulting a Public Servant.
*9:00am-Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop in Bangs on a vehicle whose driver was not wearing a seat belt. According to the report, when the vehicle came to a stop, the driver got out and was acting very nervous. The driver was identified as 37-year-old Alberto Cantu. Because Cantu was acting very nervous, the deputy obtained consent to search the vehicle and found a small clear baggy containing marijuana, reports state. Cantu was arrested for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2 ounces in a Drug Free Zone.
*2:46pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that the screen on her front door had been cut at an unknown date and time within the last six months. Maintenance of the apartments had already repaired/replaced the damaged screen, the report states.
*3:45pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Brady Avenue. According to the report, the driver, identified as Antonio Tamar Alexander, was found to have a suspended license and was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction/Suspension.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence in Rising Star regarding theft. According to the report, the complainants stated they were working on some acreage they own across the road from their residence when they heard the sound of metal banging. When they went to their property across the road, they found two males on their property loading metal onto a trailer, the report states. When the complainants yelled at the men, they dropped what they had in their hands and jumped into their vehicle and drove off, stated the report. According to the complainant, she called around to the different scrap yards in Brownwood and found that two men in a pickup that matched the suspect descriptions had been to Brownwood Iron and Metal. Items stolen included approximately 100-150 sheets of tin siding, 47 t-posts, 2 engine blocks, windmill parts, 2 chrome bumpers and other miscellaneous metal parts and were valued at $2000, the report states. Names of the suspects have been obtained and the investigation is ongoing.
*6:01pm-Brownwood Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1200 block of Belle Plain involving a single vehicle. According to the report, the driver identified as 18-year-old Seth Travis Brim stated that his license was suspended and his vehicle did not have insurance. The driver was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
*6:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Fisk Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that his vehicle was burglarized while he was working at a nearby business. A fingerprint was obtained from the front passenger window of the vehicle and entered into evidence; however, no arrest had been made at the time of the report.
*6:44pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding a civil matter. According to the report, the complainant advised that he had loaned a subject three small animal traps and now the subject refuses to return them.
*10:48pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Irma regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that her GPS had been stolen from her vehicle.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
