Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, February 8, 2016.
Friday, February 5
*8:44 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy Taylor Fletcher, performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired vehicle registration. According to the report, the driver, identified as 24-year-old Joel Feurtado of Belton, Texas, did not have a valid driver’s license and drug paraphernalia was found during a probable cause search of the vehicle. Feurtado was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver’s license, the report states.
*9:16 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of 6th Street regarding multiple driving infractions. According to the report, the driver, identified as 30-year-old Robert Rios of Brownwood, was found to have been operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and had no insurance. Rios was arrested and charged with driving while license invalid with previous conviction, the report states.
*12:24 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 500 block of Main Street. This stop led to the arrest of Marcos Albert Reyes for driving while license invalid with multiple convictions.
*1:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding theft of service.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old William Brayden Daniel of Abilene on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal/two counts of burglary of a habitation. Daniel was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bond.*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Barry Alan Daniell of Early for driving while license invalid and violate promise to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Marcos Albert Reyes of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
Saturday, February 6
*5:21 PM – A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Vine Street. During the stop, consent to search the vehicle was given and a homemade marijuana pipe was found. The driver was issued multiple citations for the traffic stop, and possession of drug paraphernalia, the report states.
*8:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding an accident. This call led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 36-year-old Marged Dudek of Zephyr, for driving while intoxicated.
*10:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect had cursed her out and wanted to file criminal charges against the subject.
*Early Police Department officers stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of Heartland Mall for failing to yield right of way. According to the report, when the officer approached the vehicle he could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. When the three occupants were asked to exit the vehicle, officers discovered the suspects had taken several baggies of marijuana and stuffed them into a Cheetos bag to hide them under the Cheetos, the report states. Upon further investigation, officers located a folded $20 bill in the Cheetos that contained cocaine in the folded $20 bill, the report states. The driver 28-year-old Rebecka Ward of Copperas Cove, Texas and passenger 26-year-old Billy Yates of Kempner, Texas were placed under arrest and each charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone. A third suspect began having a seizure while standing outside the vehicle and Lifeguard EMS was called to transported the third individual to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room, according to the report. A warrant for the third subject will be obtained at a later date, police state. Both Yates and Ward were being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $17,500 as of Monday morning.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on FM 1849 regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, during the burglary someone had forced entry into the pump house on the victim’s property and stole the electric pump to his well and the down pipe from the building. The victim estimated the value of loss to total $1043 in stolen items and damage, the report states.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a property on Hwy 377. According to the report, the suspect was located in a vehicle. The deputy secured a male suspect and then found a female hiding across the driveway for safety. Once the scene was secure and safe the deputy allowed the female to gather some clothes and car seats and leave the property. The male subject was allowed to stay on the property and a report was filed.
Sunday, February 7
*7:20 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Brady Avenue and Rogan Street regarding graffiti. According to the report, three signs in near Brownwood Intermediate School had been written on.
*10:00 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the County Road 615 regarding a window which had been busted out of a van during the night.
*3:49 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, an investigation determined that a female, identified as 44-year-old Dorris “Denise” Liner of Early, had a previous conviction for theft and had attempted to purchase an item with a different price tag. Liner was arrested for theft and fraudulent destruction, removal or concealment of writing.
*4:09 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of 14th Street and Austin Avenue regarding an SUV that was driving recklessly. The vehicle was located and the driver, identified as 24-year-old Joel Venson Runge of Brownwood, was arrested for reckless driving, the report states.
*4:49 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Marketplace Blvd regarding theft of property. According to the report, the complainant reported that a $100 bill had been stolen.
*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Jose Juan Alejo of Brownwood on warrants related to two counts of driving while license invalid and two counts of violate promise to appear.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 31-year-old Amanda Sue Balencia of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*Bangs Police arrested 42-year-old Melinda Trowbridge of Brownwood on warrants related to theft by check and Tamper with government record (Midland County).
*Bangs Police arrested 40-year-old Tommy Trowbridge of Abilene on a warrant related to theft by check.
