Thursday, February 5

*11:43 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding identification theft.  According to the report, someone had obtained and used the complainant’s social security number.  There was no known suspect at the time of the report.

*1:23 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the area of County Road 411 regarding found property.  According to the report, the caller had found several oxygen and acetylene bottles, which appeared to be the type used in welding, in a deep ditch next to the county road.  The bottles were loaded up and transported to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for safe keeping, the report states.

*3:29 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding identification theft.  According to the report, a relative of the complainant had used his identifying information to obtain a rental agreement without his permission.  The suspect failed to pay the bills which had led to the complainant owing the company more than $3800 in back rent, the report states.

*4:22 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on County Road 347 in Early.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her grandson had used her credit card without permission and had made numerous charges to various gaming websites.

*7:02 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2700 block of US Hwy 377.  This stop led to the arrest of 36-year-old Yajaira Alejandra Lugo of Brownwood for the offense of driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspended/without financial responsibility.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 234 regarding a suspicious person.  According to the report, a male subject, identified as 35-year-old Ryan Joseph Corl, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Taylor County and was subsequently arrested.  After arriving at the jail, Corl was found to have attempted to conceal a bottle of morphine sulfate oral solution under the front passenger seat, the report states.  During a search of Corl’s person, several methadone hydrochloride tablets were found inside his right sock, the report states.  Corl was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, and tamper with or fabricate physical evidence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Nicholas Cody Brooks Grady on warrants related to possession of controlled substance in a drug free zone, theft of property greater than $50 less than $500 enhanced, failure to identify fugitive intent give false information, failure to appear/driving while license invalid with previous conviction, violate promise to appear, and open container.  Grady was being held in the brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $10,500.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 22-year-old Joshua Cade Morris of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Odis Arthur Strasser of Early on warrants related to delivery of a dangerous drug and deliver of a controlled substance.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Patricia Sue Watkins of Brownwood on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 21-year-old Tasia Antoinette Webb of Brownwood on a warrant related to burglary of a habitation.  Webb was being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.

Friday, February 6

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Barry Christopher Money of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

*35-year-old Michael Dwayne Smith of Early turned himself in on a warrant related to assault.
