Tuesday, February 3
*2:56 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant who stated a neighbor has been harassing her by spotlighting her driveway nightly, and cursing and yelling at her from his property. The complainant also said that the neighbor curses and yells at school busses as they pass the area.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Blue Bonnet trailer Park regarding an abandoned bicycle, which was collected and taken to the law enforcement center where it was logged as found property.
Wednesday, February 4
*8:47 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of US Hwy 377 regarding forgery/counterfeiting. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect submitted a forged check for payment. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*2:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Cordell Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 40-year-old Alejandro Demestric Hall of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 in a drug free zone, possession of a dangerous drug, and public intoxication.*6:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of 11th Street regarding a weapon offense. The officer spoke with a subject regarding an altered firearm. The firearm’s serial number had been damaged, and the weapon was taken as evidence, the report states. The investigation is ongoing according to police.
*9:29 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of 4th Street regarding an assault by threat. According to the report, an adult had allegedly threatened the complainant’s 12-year-old granddaughter.
*9:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of 4th Street regarding an attempted motor vehicle theft. According to the report, the suspect had fled the scene and was not able to be located.
*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Joe Cruz Alvarado of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 by check enhanced.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 22-year-old Tyler Benjamin Edwards of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Thursday, February 5
*12:35 AM – Early Police officers received an alarm call at Cullen’s Hometown Market, located in the 100 block of Early Blvd. According to the report, Officer Contreras observed a white male running from the building. Officer Contreras along with assistance from Brownwood Police Department officers pursued the suspect and caught him a short distance away from the business. The suspect, identified at 35-year-old Bryan Harwell of Brownwood, was found to be in possession of numerous items from the store, the report states. He had already taken a cart from the store, which was parked outside with items from the store, the report states. Harwell was transported to the Brown County Jail after a brief struggle with officers when he was taken into custody, the report states. Harwell was charged with burglary of building and also arrested on an active Gillespie County warrant for motion to revoke/prohibited weapon.
* A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the area of County Road 267 and FM 2125 regarding a female caller who was requesting help finding her phone and keys. According to the report, the caller advised that her boyfriend had thrown the items over a fence. The investigation determined the two had been involved in a physical altercation, the report states. The female also stated that she had been struck by the male subject, identified as Curtis Daniel Barnett of Brownwood, and she had visible injuries such as a large bump above her right eye as well as a scratch on the eyelid of the same eye, according to the report. The phone was thrown by Barnett after being taken from the female as she attempted to call 911, the report states. Barnett was located sitting in the vehicle and placed under arrest for assault with injury/family violence, interference with an emergency call and for a pardons and parole warrant, the report states.
*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Billy Gene Christensen, Sr. of Brownwood on a parole violation.
*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Tyrone Lynn Organ of Brownwood on a warrant related to contempt of court.
