A Brownwood Police officer, while on security patrol at a local hotel, noted strange behavior that led to charges of delivery and possession of marijuana.
Approximately 11:00pm Thursday, as the officer was patrolling the area, he noted three individuals who attracted his attention when they saw the patrol car and turned to walk the other way.
The officer went to approach the young men; however, was stopped by a hotel guest who stated these individuals had been causing a disturbance by being loud, skateboarding in the area and, had allegedly unplugged some trucks (from engine warmers). After speaking with the hotel guest, the officer noticed yhat the individuals had gone across the highway and were headed to the roadside park next to Skillet’s restaurant. Once at the park, the officer made contact and identified the men which led to the arrest of 20-year-old Micah Pete Green and 18-year-old William Nathaniel Green both of Blanket.
Micah Green was noted by dispatch to have a warrant and was placed under arrest. Police reports state that a strong smell of burnt marijuana was noticed on the men and the officer asked if they had anything illegal on them. According to police officials, Micah Green eventually told the officer that he had 1 oz of marijuana in his front pants pocket. Another officer arrived to assist and began talking to Nathaniel Green who also admitted to possession of marijuana. Officials also stated that when Nathaniel was asked where he got the marijuana, he told the officer that Micah had given it to him and told him to “get rid of it” or in other words, sell it.
Micah Green was charged with Delivery of Marijuana greater than ¼ oz, less than or equal to 5 lbs, Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and arrested for the outstanding warrant. Nathaniel Green was charged with Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 oz. The third male was not arrested and was released at the scene.

Friday, January 28
*9:45pm- Brownwood Police were dispatched to 2017 Vine street in reference to a hit and run accident. According to the report, the complainant stated that she heard a loud crash. She stated that she looked outside as an older model Oldsmobile or Buick had struck a rock wall located on the north side of her property and then backed up hitting her mail box located close to the curb before fleeing the area to the north on Vine Street. Possible license plate numbers were provided to the officer. Approximately six feet of the wall had been knocked down and the mailbox had been bent to a 45 degree angle according to the officer. A search for the suspect vehicle was made; however it was not located. From the evidence at the scene, the vehicle would have extensive damage primarily to the left front. At the time of the report, there were no suspects.
Wednesday February 2
*5:57pm-A Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Ave B in reference to criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that the rear windshield on his vehicle had been busted out. No suspect information was available at the time of the report. The complainant did wish to pursue charges the report states.
* 7:52pm-Brownwood Police were called to escort a disorderly subject from the premises located in the 700 Block of E. Baker. The subject was removed from the location and a criminal trespass warning was issued.
*10:46pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block San Benito regarding a civil matter. Investigation determined that a male subject had moved out of the residence and was no longer wanted there. The subject was located at another residence in town and a criminal trespass warning was issued.
Thursday, February 3
*8:44pm- Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of E. Commerce, CVS, in reference to trespassing. According to the report, an employee called and advised that two subjects needed to be escorted from the business. Investigation determined that both subjects have entered the store on previous occasions and the manager had reason to believe theft was occurring involving the subjects the report states. Both subjects were issued criminal trespass warnings for the above business and were released at the scene.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
