Friday, February 1

*5:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of E. Commerce, Dollar General, regarding theft.  According to the report, the suspect, an unknown female, was a regular customer that employees of the store believed to have shoplifted before but had never caught her in the act.  This time, the female was allegedly caught on video surveillance stealing feminine pads, the report states.    Criminal charges will be pursued by the store management if the suspect can be identified.

*6:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 8th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.

*7:55 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Austin Avenue regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim stated he was assaulted by an unknown black male at Coggin Park. The victim was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation, the report states.  The victim’s mother stated that she did wish to pursue criminal charges if the suspect can be identified, according to the report.

*39-year-old Robin Carole Barron of Zephyr turned herself in on a warrant for tamper with government record.  Barron is currently being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Tamara Sue Bond on a warrant for motion to adjudicate.  Bond is currently being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $45,000.

*21-year-old Joseph Ray Burns turned himself in on a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Jennifer Michelle Diaz of May for theft of property equal or greater than $50 and less than $500.

*Bangs Police arrested 38-year-old Gabriel Garcia-Duran on an immigration hold.

*Early Police arrested 31-year-old Alfonso Garcia of Abilene for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 76-year-old Doyle Cole Laughlin of Bangs for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more with open container.

*20-year-old Arthur Villarreal turned himself in on a warrant for his arrest related to manufacture deliver controlled substance.

*Bangs Police arrested 17-year-old Lauren Renee Wadley of Abilene for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Coy Lynn Welker on a warrant for his arrest related to no seat belt driver.

Saturday, February 2

*11:13 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Lakeway regarding theft.  According to the report, the suspect was described as a white male wearing a black shirt and having tattoos on his face.  The attempted theft occurred at Stripes, and the suspect fled on foot toward Lakeway Drive, the report states.

*5:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of 2nd Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her yellow and brown snake skin wallet, valued at $20, was stolen.

*8:19 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 3500 block of Golding Road.  According to the report, the victim stated that her husband, 38-year-old Brayden Jaymes Schrank had assaulted her, held her unlawfully and had endangered their two children.  After interviewing both parties involved, officers placed Schrank under arrest on charges of assault family violence with previous conviction, and unlawful restraint and abandon/endanger child criminal negligence, the report states.

*Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Belle Plain Avenue regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, officers observed one of the glass front doors were broken out.  The building was cleared without locating a suspect inside, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Chad William Beasley for public intoxication, 3rd or more.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Adam Raymond Castillo for driving under the influence minor.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Tayah Nycole Hurt for injury of a child/elderly/disabled person with intentional bodily injury.

*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Anthony Thomas Lumpkin on a warrant for theft.

*Early Police arrested 25-year-old Felix Christopher Sanchez of Abilene on a warrant for motion to revoke.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Jacob Allen Wilder on a warrant for his arrest related to open storage in yards.

Sunday, February 3

*11:10 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1800 block of Avenue B regarding a domestic disturbance.

*12:11 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a spare tire had been taken from the trunk of her vehicle sometime in the early part of December 2012.  Suspects have been named and the complainant wishes to pursue charges, the report states.

*2:04 PM – Brownwood responded to the area of 1st and Avenue K regarding a report of a hit and run accident.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Earl Roshawn Brown of Austin for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old Loab Burke of Austin on a warrant for Theft of Service.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 28-year-old John Westley Manning for driving while license invalid.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Jesse Michael Coppic on two warrants for his arrest related to affix unauthorized sunscreen device to motor vehicle and violate promise to appear.

Monday, February 4

*12:59 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect stole several personal items from her son, including an iPod Touch, 3 pair of compression shorts, and 2 Aeropostale shirts, and also broke his cell phone.
