Wednesday, February 24
*Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft. According to the report, approximately $80 of Plexus drink mix was stolen from the residence.
Thursday, February 25
*5:02 PM – Brownwood Police served a warrant at a home in the 2400 block of Elizabeth Drive. While officers were serving the warrant at the residence, Devonte Evetts was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Friday, February 26
*12:34 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding identity theft. According to the report, a female subject identified as 35-year-old Jamie Faye Anderson of Brownwood advised that a known male had used her identifying information to open a Dish Network account. On a follow up with the male, upon viewing messages between Anderson and the suspect, it was apparent that Anderson had given consent for her information to be used by the male to open the account, the report states. Due to the fact that Anderson had provided her identifying information consensually for the account to be opened, no criminal offense had been committed by the male subject. Anderson did however, intentionally file a false report for the ID theft against the male and remained adamant that she did not provide consent even after being provided with evidence suggesting otherwise. Anderson was subsequently arrested for false report to police officer.
*8:21 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of N. Main Blvd. regarding criminal mischief. The complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend damaged her vehicle and the incident was documented.
*2:15 PM – A Cross Plains man was arrested Friday after being involved in two motor vehicle accidents.
According to police, an investigation determined that 49-year-old Donald Manis Miller of Cross Plains had rear-ended a vehicle in the 1200 block of Belle Plain at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Friday, February 26th, then fled the scene.
Within the same hour, he struck a telephone pole and rolled his silver 2003 Chevy Malibu in a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Coggin Avenue and 8th Street. Police then identified him as the driver that had fled the previous accident scene, according to police reports. In checking his identification with dispatch, officers learned that Miller’s license was invalid and insurance was unconfirmed, the report states.
Miller was arrested for fleeing the scene of an accident greater than $200, driving while license invalid and for having no insurance.
*2:18 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft. According to the report, the female complainant allowed a male subject to stay at her home while she was away at work. When she returned home, she discovered the male was gone and her laptop computer and a hunting knife were missing.
*The Brownwood Marshal arrested 35-year-old Coiley T-Shane Burns of Brownwood on a warrants related to assault family/house member with previous conviction, failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance drug free zone, failure to appear, failed to signal intent to turn and fail to report change of address. Burns was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*27-year-old Jacob Alonzo Gomez of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of controlled substance.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Orion Peters of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to meet with a male subject about a stolen trailer he had bought. According to the report, the trailer was confirmed through dispatch that is was stolen from Mansfield, Texas. The deputy took possession of the stolen trailer, which the complainant had purchased in April of 2015 from a known subject. The trailer was secured in the BCSO lot and Mansfield Police Department was notified.
Saturday, February 27
*12:09 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop for a defective tail light in the 500 block of W. Commerce. According to the report, as the officer approached the driver’s door, he began to smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana. This stop led to the arrest of 34-year-old Oneza Kathaleen Atta of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*12:31 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of criminal mischief via telephone.
*12:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 12th Street regarding a wanted person. According to the report, the suspect provided false identifying information and attempted to convince officers that he was not the subject of the warrant from Texas Pardon and Parole. A positive identification of the subject, 45-year-old Richard Byran White of Bastrop Texas, was made and he was placed under arrest for the warrant and for an additional charge of failure to identify fugitive from justice.
*12:26 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of E. Commerce regarding stalking. During the call, a female alleged that she was being stalked by her ex-boyfriend.
*1:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of 4th Street regarding a citizens’ dispute. During the call, multiple suspects and victims were identified and the incident was documented.
*7:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding an intoxicated subject. According to the report, a male subject, identified as 23-year-old Neil Ray Bingham of Early, was located and arrested for public intoxication.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Shawntereo Abram of Fort Worth for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Early Police arrested 35-year-old Joshua Lee Lehde for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*11:51 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign. This led to the arrest of the passenger of the vehicle, identified as 25-year-old Brandon Stevens of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Sunday, February 28
*2:39 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Austin Avenue. During the stop, 18-year-old Nathan Cole Culp of Brownwood consented to a search of his person and a marijuana pipe was discovered, the report states. A probable cause search of the vehicle was made which revealed a useable amount of marijuana, according to the report. Culp was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, the report states.
*2:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Magnolia regarding a burglary in progress. This call led to the arrest of 33-year-old Adriana Nicole Denmon of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*9:29 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Stonebrook Circle regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, an unknown suspect knocked out a window of a vehicle at the residence. The owner of the vehicle estimated it would cost approximately $350 to repair the damage.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 53-year-old Steven Trevino Hernandez of Bangs for a parole violation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Evlyn Kathryn Kelly of Brownwood on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
Monday, February 29
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 27-year-old John David Adams of Lake Odessa, Michigan.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Daniel Lee Campbell of Kyle, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Marcus Franklin Casillas of Kyle, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 29-year-old Israel Josafet Guadarrma of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated/open alcohol container.
