Tuesday, February 23
* 1:00 PM – A Brown County deputy responded to the Brown County Jail to a report of contraband being found in an inmate’s possession. According to the report, there were 2 Hydrocodone tablets, weighing 0.9 grams, and 6 Alprazolam tablets, weighing 0.7 grams, found in a small black plastic baggie in Eric Jermaine Fields Jr.’s pants pocket. The contraband was seized and a report was made.
Wednesday, February 24
*11:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 5000 block of US 183 South after being informed by another deputy, via radio, that he had just observed the vehicle driving in the fast lane traveling south on US 183 S. near the intersection of CR 308. According to the report, during the course of the contact, the driver identified as 18-year-old Colbey Ray Owings was eventually arrested after verifying he did not have a driver’s license or proof of insurance on the vehicle.
Thursday, February 25
*12:30 AM – An Early police officer responded to the 600 block of Early Blvd. regarding an assault. According to the report, several intoxicated individuals were on scene. Lifeguard EMS responded and transported one person to the emergency room with facial injuries from the assault, the report states. While on scene, officers located marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the residence, the report states. After the investigation was completed, 25-year-old Jacob Dean Curry was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.*7:27 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence at Spring Lake West in Brownwood regarding an assault. According to the report, a female victim stated her boyfriend had assaulted her after a verbal argument.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was contacted about a black heifer calf which had been on the complainant’s property since Monday, February 22, 2016 at 05:10 am. According to the report, the deputy and the complainant were unable to locate an owner for the calf so it was taken to the Sheriff’s Office by the complainant and placed in the storage pens.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Arturo Allen Cadena of Brownwood on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Early Police arrested 54-year-old Eddie Tabe Cantu of Early on warrants related to driving while license invalid and speeding.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 40-year-old Richard Corns of Santa Anna for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Devonte Jaxon Evetts of Mullin for possession of marijuana.
*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Justin Allen Jordy of Zephyr on warrants related to motions to revoke/unauthorized use of motor vehicle and criminal mischief equal or greater than $2500 less than $30,000.
*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Jose Sanchez Murillo of Brownwood on a warrant related to manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 less than 28 grams.
*Brownwood Police arrested 48-year-old Jesse Luna Pesina, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 less than 28 grams.
Friday, February 26
*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Jamie Faye Anderson of Brownwood for false report to police officer.
*Brownwood Police arrested 37-year-old Catherine Ann Patric of Brownwood on a warrant related to injury to a child/elderly or disabled individual with intention of bodily injury.
