*According to Early Chief of Police Chief, during the week of January 28th, the Early Police Department located a stray goat in the 1000 block of Early Blvd. Anyone missing a goat is encouraged to contact the Early Police Department to properly identify and claim the animal.
Friday, February 22
*3:21 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft. According to the report, two employees stopped two subjects who walked out of the store with a basket full of merchandise, passing all points of purchase. The complainant stated that he wished to file charges and trespass warnings were issued to both subjects, the report states.
*4:48 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at their residence regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that several fishing items had been stolen from his boat in the last month at his previous address in the 2500 block of Vincent Street.
*6:34 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of a stolen bicycle in the 2000 block of 1st Street.
*11:52 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding an assault. According to the report, a fight had occurred at the Budget Inn and officers arrived to find two males sitting on the ground in the parking lot of the Silver Fox lounge. Both were bleeding from the head and face area, one man had a large baseball sized knot on the left cheek area and a small knot on the back of his head, the report states. According to the police report, an investigation determined that 34-year-old Carlton Wake of Isabell, Missouri had started the fight with an unknown subject by throwing him into the side of a parked vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle (which was estimated at $1500 by the owner). Wake was arrested for criminal mischief to the parked vehicle.*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Reba Faye Buffington on an outstanding warrant related to credit/debit card abuse and two motion to revoke warrants related to driving while intoxicated.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Jessica Farris for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Tommy Wayne Lindley on a warrant for motion to revoke related to forgery.
*Early Police arrested 36-year-old Samuel Lee Scarborough for driving while intoxicated.
Saturday, February 23
*1:34 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of 1st Street regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the officer arrived at the residence to find a Hispanic male standing at a side door on the south end of the residence. The male, identified as 29-year-old John Daniel Vasquez of Early, was ordered away from the door, which he complied, the report states. The officer asked what he was doing there and Vasquez stated he was attempting to speak with his ex-wife; however an investigation determined that Vasquez had forced his way into the residence and assaulted his ex-wife along with her boyfriend, according to the report. Vasquez was subsequently arrested for burglary with intent to commit an assault.
*4:45 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Avenue G regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, 49-year-old Alvaro Rodriguez Garcia was arrested for assault with injury family violence.
*7:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Vincent regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, between the hours of 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM the previous day, someone stole her purse out of her vehicle.
*3:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4400 block of Delwood regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a wheelbarrow had been stolen from his residence.
*Brownwood Police arrested Douglas Clinton for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Sonia Soto Deleon of San Angelo on a warrant for motion to revoke related to possession of a controlled substance-drug free zone.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 41-year-old Thomas Dunway of Coleman for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 45-year-old Franky Gonzales for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Camron Mark Helge for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brownwood Police arrested Michael Scott King on two warrants related to speeding and violate promise to appear.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Michael Daniel McCormick of Brady for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Christopher Cody McDonough on a warrant for motion to revoke related to evading arrest or detention.
*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Frenando Mireles of Bangs on two warrants related to no insurance and violate promise to appear.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Ruperto Rico of Dallas for driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Michael Andrew Stanley on a warrant related to enforcing child support/obligation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charlotte Story of Coleman on multiple warrants for her arrest related to failure to maintain financial responsibility, open container, driving while license invalid and two for violate promise to appear.
Sunday, February 24
*12:11 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance at Wal-Mart, 401 W. Commerce. According to the report, the victim stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her inside a vehicle and then left her stranded after she exited the car. The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Scotty Dale Ray Hays was located a short time later and arrested for assault family violence, the report states.
*3:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Durham Avenue regarding an assault. According to the report, a female was alleged to have been “punched” in the face by a male subject. The investigation is ongoing and charges are being pursued, the report states.
*5:50 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of US Hwy 377S regarding a large male subject beating a small white passenger car with a female inside of it. According to the report, officers located the male, identified as Anthony Aguirre, and after a struggle, Aguirre was arrested on charges including assault on a public servant; resisting arrest, search or transport; disorderly conduct by loud and profane language; public intoxication; and on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court.
*9:49 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding a physical domestic disturbance in progress. According to the report, when officers arrived at the apartment, both subjects stated that they had been involved in a verbal argument and that the female subject was throwing items around inside the residence. The male was hit by an entertainment center that was pushed over by the female; however he had no signs of injury, the report states.
*6:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Willis regarding the theft of two bicycles.
*6:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of 16th Street regarding a runaway juvenile. According to the report, the juvenile was on probation for several offenses including burglary and had an ankle monitor; however, Juvenile Probation called the parent and stated that the monitor had been cut. The juvenile’s location was unknown at the time of the report.
*7:34 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue A regarding a possible fight. According to the report, two subjects were located and were identified as the instigators of the problems at a residence in the area. The homeowner requested trespass warnings to be issued to both subjects, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Jennifer Susan Ryan of Early for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brownwood City Marshal arrested 23-year-old Scott Stuart for driving while license invalid.
