Tuesday, February 21
*12:01pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that two money orders totaling $240.00 and a checkbook were taken from her residence on Saturday morning. Possible suspect information was provided and an active investigation is underway, the report states.
Wednesday, February 22
*12:29pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Market Place Blvd regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been making payments on “taxes owed” on a lottery winning he had been informed by phone that he had won. He stated that the caller said he had won a prize and that he needed to make payments to process the claim.
*3:23pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Brownwood Middle School. According to the report, BMS administration reported that a student was found to be in possession of an unknown substance, which after investigation was found to be marijuana. The juvenile male was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2 ounces in a Drug Free Zone.
Thursday, February 23
*10:27am-Brownwood Police were called to the 4200 block of 8th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had removed several tools from her garage without her permission.
*1:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Fisk Avenue regarding harassment.
*2:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue G regarding theft. According to the report, possible suspect information and a list of stolen property was obtained.
*5:23pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Avenue D regarding child custody. According to the report, the complainant stated that her husband was not allowing her to see her kids, despite a court ordered agreement.
*9:49pm-A Brownwood Police officer observed a 4-door passenger car parked on the wrong side of the road in the 4200 block of US Hwy 377S. This call led to a Texas driver’s license medical examination review request being submitted on a 70-year-old male subject.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
