Monday, February 22

*11:53 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 29-year-old Kendall Fredrick Theis of Brownwood for assault family violence/impede breath/circulation.

*6:16 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Belmeade regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, an Xbox 1, three jewelry boxes and a gaming headset were stolen in the burglary.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*Brownwood Police arrested 62-year-old Ralph Ashby of Comanche on a warrant.

*23-year-old Tyler Benjamin Edwards of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/assault causes bodily injury family violence.  Edwards was released on $10,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Jordan Taylor of Abilene on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Shaw Wagner of Rock Springs, Texas on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal for two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Gage James Woodcock of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a motorcycle at the intersection of Austin and Lillie Kimble.  According to the report, the motorcycle was found to have a registration that had been expired since 2010.  When the deputy activated his lights and siren to make the stop, the driver, later identified as 24-year-old Cody Hartwig of Brownwood, looked back and began evading which led to a short pursuit through Brownwood, the report states.  Hartwig was observed by the deputy to have dropped an eye glasses case in the area of Cecil Holman Park and what was later determined to be brass knuckles in the area of Market Street, according to the officer’s report.  The pursuit ended on Trapp Street as Hartwig almost lost control of the motorcycle, the report states.  Another deputy located the eyeglasses case, which was found to contain approximately 6.5 grams of methamphetamine, the report states.  Hartwig advised that he did not stop because he did not have a driver’s license or permission to have the motorcycle, the report states.  Hartwig was arrested and charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams in a drug free zone, two counts of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, evading arrest or detention and prohibited weapons.

Tuesday, February 23

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 29-year-old Keith Chevoier Steen of San Antonio on warrants related to assault family violence and theft by check greater than $20 less than $500.
