Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, February 22, 2012.

Monday, February 20

*8:00am-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his vehicle was vandalized sometime between February 12 at 6:00pm and February 16th at 6:00am.  No suspects had been named at the time of the report.

Tuesday, February 21

*11:08am-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, on a community relations call.  According to the report, numerous rounds of ammunition and various other items were turned into the property room for safekeeping.

*5:38pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of 7th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his Beretta CX Storm Rifle chambered in 9mm with an EOTech sight had been stolen.  The complainant stated that he believed that a relative had been in his home this date and stolen the firearm.

*6:42pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Burkes Outlet Store at 519 W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the district manager of the store advised the responding officer that a male was observed taking clothing and then leaving the store without paying for the items.  The stolen clothing was located on the ground near the store and returned to the store; however no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

*7:18pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Anderson regarding an assault.  According to the report, it was determined that the assault took place in the 1200 block of Crothers.  After investigation, it was determined that the assault was a result of mutual combat between the two subjects, the report states.

*9:46pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft via phone call of a theft which occurred in the 1200 block of Crothers.  According to the report, the complainant stated that two fifty dollar bills were stolen out of her daughter’s purse at the residence.  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

*9:57pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Indian Creek for a defective license plate lamp.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as 43-year-old Kathy Garcia Jauregui, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.

*10:25pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street, Kroger, regarding theft.   According to the report, store employees were watching a female suspect, wearing blue jeans and a baggy jacket, place items into her pockets while walking around the store.   The female was located and detained in the parking lot of the store, the report states.  The female was found to have property which belonged to Kroger on her person which had not been paid for, the report states.  The female was issued a citation for theft as well as a criminal trespass warning for Kroger.

*11:40pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane on a suspicious call.  According to the report, investigation determined that 45-year-old Christy Lynn Doyal had criminally trespassed a vehicle.  Doyal was arrested for Criminal Trespass.

Wednesday, February 22

*1:05am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue B regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report 44-year-old Ronnie Patterson was arrested for Public Intoxication.

*2:17pm-Brownwood Police were called to 519 W. Commerce, Burkes Outlet, regarding a shoplifter in custody.  According to the report, the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Blanca Esquivel  Zepede had stolen several items and was being detained by the loss prevention officer at the store.  Zepede was placed under arrest for Theft of Property Greater than $50 Less than $500 and issued a criminal trespass warning.  Stolen items were recovered and released to the store according to the report.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
