Wednesday, February 20

*9:34 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of Fisk Avenue regarding an attempted burglary of a building.  According to the report, an employee of Ranger Beauty College stated that sometime between the hours of 4:40 PM on February 19th and 7:30 February 20th, someone attempted to break into the college through the back door, damaging the door frame and handle.

*12:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop for speeding on FM 2126 near the intersection of FM 2525 which resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Just Bishop Jordan of Cross Plains for driving while license invalid.

*1:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Clements Street regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, a male complainant wished a trespass warning to be issued to a former customer of Western Bank, which was issued for the property.

*7:13 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Magnolia regarding harassment.  According to the report, a female complainant stated that between January 22nd and February 20th, an unknown male subject had been calling and making sexually explicit comments to her.  The complainant does not know who the caller is and the suspect phone number is listed as a private number, the report states.   If a suspect can be identified, the complainant did wish to pursue criminal charges.

*33-year-old Erasmo Castaneda turned himself in to the Brown County Jail on a warrant for his arrest related to the Burglary of a Habitation.

*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Joseph Deshawn Hodges on four warrants related to motion to revoke possession of marijuana, noise nuisance, no driver’s license and failure to appear.

*Brown County  Sheriff’s Office arrested 55-year-old Carey Lavan Reese of Waco on two warrants related to assault causing bodily injury family violence and a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Heather DShea Scott of San Angelo on a warrant for motion to revoke related to possession of a controlled substance.

Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Jacob Allen Wilder for Burglary of a Habitation.

Thursday, February 21

*2:05 AM – Brownwood Police were contacted via telephone by a complainant regarding identity theft.  According to the report, the complainant reported that an unknown person pretended to be the complainant, and had a utility service to his residence shut off and then requested that the deposit for the utility be sent to an address unknown to the complainant.  An investigation is ongoing regarding the incident, the report states.
