Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, February 21, 2011.

Friday, February 18

*7:58am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue C regarding a burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated some time overnight someone opened her vehicle and stole a 2-inch camoflauge LED flashlight valued at $20.  Complainant stated she believed juveniles were responsible; however no suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*12:48pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Streckert Drive regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been made aware that a known suspect had stolen some blank prescriptions from local doctor’s office.   The complainant further told officers that the suspect had attempted to pass a forged prescription at the Bangs Pharmacy.

*1:48pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2300 block of Vincent regarding a theft.   The complainant stated he had been out of town for about week and returned to find that someone had broken the window out of the back door and several items were found to be missing inside the residence.  A known suspect was named by the complainant; however there were no arrests at the time of the report.

*4:24pm-A Brownwood Police officer was driving when a subject stopped him and asked if he could report a bicycle stolen.  The complainant stated that he was asleep in his residence and while he was sleeping, someone took his bicycle from his front yard between the hours of 11:00am and 2:00pm.

Saturday, February 19

*12:05am-A Brownwood Police officer spoke with a complainant at BPD regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the paint on the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged while she was at work at a local hotel in the 100 block of Market Place Blvd.  Between the hours of 5pm on February 17th and 2pm February 18th, an unknown subject had carved the word “Leave” in the paint on the trunk of her vehicle the report states.

*8:25am-Brownwood Police were called to 1620 Austin Avenue, Dairy Queen, regarding an unwanted person.  Investigation revealed that a subject had made a terroristic threat against another person and that the subject was being detained on an emergency detention order due to her mental status, threatening others and for asking a peace officer to shoot her the report states.

11:32am- Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Home Street regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had broken the back window of his residence and stolen his stereo sometime in the past few nights.  A known suspect was named by the complainant the report states.

*1:16pm-A Brownwood Police officer was called to the 2100 block of Belle Plain regarding theft.  The owner/complainant stated that several pickup loads of automotive parts were stolen from his property during the last two nights.  The complainant could not provide a suspect or a dollar amount of the property that was stolen the report states.  The complainant stated that the stolen property was stored next to his shop building and was being saved to sell as scrap iron.  According to the report, tire tracks through a nearby property and across a pasture could be seen which led to the scene of the incident.  The complainant was very upset and stated that he had called the Brownwood City Manger to complain that BPD was not watching his property and doing their job at night the report states.  The officer spoke to the complainant at length and when he calmed down, he requested that his property be watched closely according to the report.

*4:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding a theft.  According to the report, the loss prevention employee had observed a female subject concealing several items in her purse.  The employee/complainant stated that the female left the store without being able to be identified the report states.

Sunday, February 20

*3:24pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Austin Avenue regarding found property.  A mountain bicycle was lying on the northeast side of the Bill Monroe overpass.  The serial number was checked to see if the bicycle was lost or stolen, which it was not registered as such.  According to the report, the officer took the bicycle to BPD where it was placed into impound until someone can properly identify and claim it.

*11:30pm-Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of 7th Street.  According to police officials, the individuals involved in the incident were all intoxicated and all related. Police began visiting with 40-year-old David Miranda, the older brother, who became upset and began taking a threatening posture toward responding officers the report states.  He became agitated and resisted officers detaining him; therefore officers tazed him according to the report.  Once on the ground, he began to threaten officers police officials state.    Miranda was arrested for Resisting Arrest/Detention and for Retaliation.

The younger brother involved, 37-year-old Servando Saenz, Jr., also resisted being detained and when told to get on the ground, he would not take his hands out of the waistband of his pants according to the report.  Not knowing if Saenz had a weapon in his pants, the officers continued to order him to take his hands out and eventually tazed Saenz the report states.    Saenz was arrested, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

59-year-old Yolanda San Miguel, the mother of both men, interfered in the arrests of Saenz and Miranda and was subsequently arrested for Interfering with Public Duty according to police records.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
