Law enforcement reports and arrests released Monday, February 20, 2012.

Friday, February 17

*6:58am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect broke out the passenger side window of the complainant’s vehicle and stole the complainant’s wallet.  The report states that the complainant wishes to pursue charges if a suspect can be identified.

*10:54-Brownwood Police responded to a report of terroristic threat in the 1600 block of Belle Plain Street.  According to the report, the complainant along with his ex-wife reported a known suspect had come to the residence, driving through the yard and spinning out in the carport.  The report states that the complainant’s ex-wife later admitted that she had not actually seen the known suspect’s car, but had heard what she believed was his vehicle outside the residence.

*10:46am-Borwnwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue A regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject broke out the driver’s side window of her vehicle and stole her purse and a debit card.  If a suspect can be identified, the complainant wishes to pursue charges.

*12:07pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft via phone call.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect stole and forged two checks on her bank account.

*12:52pm-Brownwood Police received a report of the violation of a protective order.  According to the report, the complainant met officers at the law enforcement center and stated that her ex-boyfriend was violating a protective order by contacting her at the place of employment and through her daughter.

*2:14pm-Brownwood Police located a small quantity of controlled substance while assisting the Brown County Adult Probation Office with a probation search at an apartment complex in Brownwood.  According to the report, the owner of the controlled substance was identified as 20-year-old Brian Scott Evans and arrested, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3 Less than 28 grams.

*2:24pm-Brownwood Police were called to Brownwood Middle School regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, a teacher stated that a student threatened the teacher with a pair of scissors.

*3:11pm-Brownwood Police received a report of identity theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect used her personal information to open a cell phone account with Verizon.

*4:30pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding forgery.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had not received several checks in his mail and discovered that they had been cashed by an unknown subject.  Possible suspect information was obtained and possible charges will be filed according to the report.

*5:14pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle had been vandalized. 

*5:18pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of C. C. Woodson Road regarding unwanted persons.   According to the report, an off-duty employee saw two people who were not supposed to be on the property.

*10:06pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving without their lights on at nighttime.  According to the report, the driver, identified as Joshua Eugene Meadows, was determined to be intoxicated.  Meadows was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 1st with Open Container.

Saturday, February 18

*3:21am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 8th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her live-in boyfriend had gotten into a physical altercation.  During the incident, the female’s middle finger on her right hand was injured and bled the report states.  According to police reports, the woman refused medical attention and would not cooperate with the investigation or answer any questions.  The report states that her boyfriend left the scene prior to officer’s arrival.

*6:18am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject broke out the rear left side window of her vehicle and stole her purse.  The report states if a suspect is identified the complainant wished to pursue charges.

*3:33pm-Brownwood Police responded to a report of dogs chasing goats in a pasture on Schroeder Lane.  Upon arrival officers could see three black dogs on the far side of the pasture near Avenue W.  According to the report, a witness stated he saw several black dogs attack a goat in the pasture across Schroeder Lane from his residence.   The witness stated that the dogs got the goat down on the ground and when the goat got up it was bleeding from its side, then the dogs ran off toward Avenue W, the report states. 

*7:24pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Commerce, Big Lots, regarding a theft that had occurred.  According to the report, dispatch advised officers that a Chevrolet pickup was parked around the side of the building and a male subject was stealing trees from outside of Big Lots. 

*8:09pm-Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a female suspect was detained in the loss prevention office for theft.  This call would lead to the issuance of a citation to the female for theft less than $50.

Sunday, February 19

*3:02am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue E regarding a criminal mischief follow-up.  According to the report, officers had been at the residence previously for terroristic threat.  At that time, the male half of the argument left the residence for the night.  At 3:02 am, the female involved in the argument received a call from the male stating that he had broken out all the windows of the house, the report states.  The female then contacted the police department to check the house, and upon their arrival at the house, officers found several broken windows and glass doors broken, according to the report.  A suspect was named; however at the time of the report no arrest had been made the report states.  The cost to repair the damage was estimated between $1000-$2000.

*7:09am-Brownwood Police were called to 1400 Austin Avenue, regarding theft.  According to the report, a store employee stated that a female suspect was detained when she attempted to leave the store without paying for a package of rice cakes.  The total value of the item stolen was $3.29.  Brookshire’s did wish to pursue criminal charges and the woman was issued a citation for theft and a criminal trespass warning.

*7:33am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Coggin Avenue regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend was just at her residence who has a criminal trespass warning issued to him for her address. 

*8:34am-A Brownwood Police officer was flagged down in the 800 block of Coggin Avenue regarding found property.  According to the report, a Texas driver’s license was found in the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, at Brookshire’s.   The officer was unable to make contact with the listed owner and the license was turned into the Brownwood Police Department as found property.

*2:30pm-Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft in the 1000 block of Pecan Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen the catalytic converter from his vehicle while it was parked at this location. 

*6:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding robbery.  According to the report, officers were advised of the suspect’s description by dispatch and were told that the suspect was driving a small black 4-door car and part of its license number was also provided.  Officers were able to locate the vehicle in the 400 block of W. Lee Street.  This call led to the arrest of 20-year-old LeKurt Kwame Fisher for Robbery.

*7:29pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a female who had made an outcry of family violence.  A suspect was named; however at the time of the report, no arrests had been made. 

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
