Monday, February 17

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the post office in Blanket regarding mail boxes being broken into.

Tuesday, February 18

*9:27 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Danhil Drive regarding forgery.

*2:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Avenue D regarding a warrant service related to a probation violation.  According to the report, 42-year-old Robert Allen Ortega of Brownwood was in the backyard of the residence kneeling next to the house drinking a beer.  As officers approached him through a gate to the backyard, Ortega began walking away from them, dropped his beer and ran away, the report states.    After a short chase, Ortega was arrested behind a residence in the 2200 block of Avenue E, according to police.

*2:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue C regarding theft of an air conditioner.

*3:12 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Crockett Drive regarding the theft of a cell phone and wallet.  According to the report, the incident is pending further investigation.

*6:16 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 700 block of Penn Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, as a result of this call, 37-year-old Christopher Michael Knox of Brownwood was arrested on a Lamar County warrant and for assaulting a relative at the residence and was charged with assault family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a dispute between neighbors.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a neighbor had threatened to kill her and her husband.  The complainant further explained that the neighbor had fired a gun several times and then approached the complainant and her son at the fence line, yelling and cursing at them and then allegedly displayed a handgun which he had removed from his pocket and pointed at them, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Samuel Aguirre Delapaz of Brownwood on a warrant related to delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Rebecca Elizabeth Hudson of Brownwood on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated 2nd.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Johnny Sam Kemp for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Vanessa Chanelle Thornton of Coleman on warrants related to driving while license suspended and failure to appear.

Wednesday, February 19

*1:40 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, an investigation into a burglary with intent to commit assault is under investigation.

*3:28 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of 6th Street regarding a female subject walking in the area nude.  According to the report, the suspect was located in the 600 block of 6th Street and after an investigation was determined to be intoxicated.  The subject, identified as 24-year-old Lacey Roxanne Culpepper was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
