Friday, February 15

*10:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Main Blvd regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the suspect had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival and the victims did not wish to pursue charges.  Photos were taken of injuries and family violence forms were issued the report states.

*4:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her SUV had been burglarized and approximately 20 CDs had been taken from the center console of the vehicle.

*5:13 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Belmeade regarding a case of alleged child abuse/neglect.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a 3-year-old child was the victim and the suspect was identified as a relative.

Saturday, February 16

*9:10 AM – A Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street regarding an assault.

*10:38 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Temple Avenue regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person had entered her residence and removed several items of gold and silver jewelry from inside the home.

*10:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Waco Street regarding assault by threat.  According to the report, the complainant had received a voice message from the suspect who threatened physical violence against the complainant.  Criminal charges are being pursued the, report states.

*12:03 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of US Hwy 377S regarding the alleged theft of $225.81 of gasoline from the convenience store.

Sunday, February 17

*3:50 AM – While on patrol, a Brownwood Police officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Coggin and 2nd Street.  The driver, identified as 53-year-old Vickie Ann Montanez, was noted to have a smell of alcohol on her breath, according to the report.  After the driver failed several sobriety tests, she was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated-open container.  She was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center where a blood sample was taken and then she was transported to the Brown County Jail.

*1:35 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Waco Street regarding theft.  According to the report, officers investigated the theft of firearms from the residence.

*6:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Main Blvd regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between Friday, February 15th and the date of the report; someone had broken out the driver’s side window of his pickup truck.  Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $200.00, the report states.  Nothing was stolen from the vehicle, according to the report.

*2:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue E regarding the violation of a protective order.  According to the report, a female complainant stated that her ex-husband would not leave her residence, but had already left the scene at the time of the call.

Monday, February 18

*3:09 AM – A Brownwood Police officer observed a pedestrian in the area of 4th Street and Avenue A who acted suspiciously as the officer approached.  The pedestrian began looking over his shoulder as the patrol unit approached, acting suspiciously and took off running as the officer exited the vehicle, the report states.  The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jody Burns, was apprehended in the 1400 block of Avenue B and placed under arrest for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone and evading arrest.
