Tuesday, February 10
*9:48 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on US Hwy 183 regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between February 6th and February 8th, an unknown person entered the storage shed behind his home and attempted to steal the complainant’s Harley Davidson motorcycle which is broken down.
*1:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy took a report of theft by phone. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject had taken property which belonged to the complainant and his girlfriend. Items stolen included a bowie knife, a wallet containing a debit card and social security cards, as well as a bank bag which contained receipts and the check book for the ranch the complainant manages, the report states. The complainant stated that he wanted the items returned; however, it the suspect does not return them, he wished to pursue charges, the report states.Thursday, February 12
*12:29 PM – The Brownwood ISD resource officer was called to Brownwood High School regarding an assault. According to the report, an investigation led to the report of an incident of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a female suspect had fled the campus. School officials stated that the juvenile will be removed from the campus and placed at the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program for 45 days and a directive to apprehend was requested for the offense of aggravated assault from the juvenile probation office, the report states.
Friday, February 13
*2:33 PM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the area of Booker and Lee Streets regarding walking on the wrong side of the roadway (with traffic instead of toward opposing traffic). According to the report, the pedestrian was found to be in possession of a stranger’s check, which he admitted to forging. This stop led to the arrest of 21-year-old Stetson Lee Wayne Walls of Brownwood for forgery of a financial instrument, the report states. Walls was released on bonds totaling $12,000.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Daniel Jet McElhaney of Brownwood on a Brown County Warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possess inhale/ingest volatile chemical.
*23-year-old Shantell Shawntae Morgan of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*32-year-old David Newman of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated 2nd.
Saturday, February 14
*12:38 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding theft.
*2:33 AM – Brownwood Police responded made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of 1st Street. This stop led to the arrest of 34-year-old Christopher Lee Salazar of San Angelo for the offenses of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated, failure to identify fugitive intentionally gives false information, driving while license invalid with previous conviction and for two Brown County warrants. Salazar was released on bonds totaling $24,500.
*8:41 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue I regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the caller stated he could hear a female screaming very loudly for someone to get off of her. This call led to the arrest of 38-year-old Fernando Narvaez of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and a surety withdrawal for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Narvaez was being held in the Brown County Jail as of Tuesday morning on Bonds totaling $31,000.
*12:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Austin Avenue regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. According to the report an unknown subject took the complainant’s red and gray 1983 GMC pickup without consent. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*1:30 PM –Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 200 block of Early Blvd. due to the driver not stopping at the designated point at a red light on W. Commerce at Austin Avenue. According to the report, due to heavy traffic, the officer was finally able to stop the driver just inside the Early city limits on Early Blvd. for the violation. This stop led to the arrest of 29-year-old Gabriel Hezekiah Campbell of Austin for possession of marijuana over 5 pounds in a drug free zone and on an active warrant out of Colorado for cultivation of marijuana plants 30 or more, the report states. As Campbell was being arrested, the officer asked if he had anything illegal in the vehicle and Campbell answered no, the report states. The officer asked if he could search the vehicle; however, Campbell denied the request, according to the report. After Campbell was placed in the officer’s patrol vehicle and an inventory of the vehicle was taken, authorities discovered a large box in the trunk of the vehicle which was taped shut, the report states. When asked what was in the box, Campbell stated, “nothing” and asked to speak with his attorney, the report states. The officer opened the box and found a large amount of green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, a total of five large clear plastic bags of marijuana packaged in three separate white trash bags, according to the report. An iPhone, a Macbook, and a Nikon camera were also seized in this case, the report states. Campbell was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
*4:35 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 233 regarding the theft of a firearm. According to the report, someone had taken a .22 magnum bolt action rifle from the complainant’s workshop which is located behind his residence.
*6:34 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 58-year-old Gerald Wayne Jones of Brownwood for assault with injury family violence.
*10:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, witnesses stated that a dark colored truck had struck a brown vehicle and then fled the scene. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*10:59 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of W. Commerce Street regarding a hit and run accident.
*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Mallorie Brooke Pope Basio of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 40-year-old Rocco Star Deluca of Los Angeles, California for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than or equal to 1 gram less than 4 grams and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 greater than 1 gram, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 57-year-old Kenneth Mark Timberlake of Brownwood for boating while intoxicated. Timberlake was released on a $15,000 bond.
*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Devan Wayne Vogel of Bangs on a probation violation.
Sunday, February 15
*12:28 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Cordell regarding shots being fired. According to the report, several subjects were spoken to and officers were able to locate four spent rounds of ammunition.
*1:55 AM – A Brownwood police officer observed a traffic violation in the 200 block of W. Commerce and made a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 300 block of Early Blvd. This stop led to the arrest of 22-year-old Dakota Michael Cross of Blanket for the offense of Driving While Intoxicated with Open Container.
*11:43 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, a male complainant stated that he had been assaulted by a female in the early hours of this date.
*1:41 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of Cleburne Street regarding a felon being in possession of a firearm. A suspect was identified and several firearms were seized from the residence, the report states.
*2:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue K regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, an unknown subject entered the complainant’s vacant residence and removed an electric counter mount glass cook top, a black gas counter mount cook top and four rolls of yellow carpet and padding. Items stolen were valued at more than $750, the report states. While investigating this incident, the officer noticed that a window on the east side of the 1700 block of Avenue K appeared to be broken with a cinder block sitting on the ground under the window, according to the report. The officer entered the residence through an unlocked back door and noted that it appeared an unknown suspect had attempted to steal copper pipes from under the bathroom sink, the report states. It was unknown who owned the property or if any items were missing. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*5:18 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3800 block of 2nd Street regarding the theft of a firearm. According to the report, the complainant stated his CZ82 9×18 Makarov had been stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in front of his residence.
*6:22 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue H regarding the burglary of a building.
*7:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Dallas Street regarding the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
*11:20 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant stated that she had continued to receive messages from an ex-boyfriend after asking him to stop communicating with her. The subject attempted to access the complainant’s personal social media page by answering security questions, the report states. A report for harassment and online impersonation was filed, according to the report.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Jahheim Arthurton of Killeen for possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces, less than 5 pounds. Arthurton was released on $10,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Justin Hodges of Mabank, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams, tamper/fabricate physical evidence and on a Scurry County warrant related to terroristic threat of family/household.
Monday, February 16
*9:24 AM –Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 3rd Street and Avenue A regarding speeding. The female driver, identified as 35-year-old Elizabeth Gramman Pirkle of Dallas, was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and was subsequently arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions, the report states.
*10:08 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the intersection of FM 2492 and Hwy 279 regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person attempted to steal the tires off of a 2001 Ford pickup he is attempting to sell at this location. Four Harley Davidson hub caps, valued at $125 each along with the lug nuts were stolen off of the vehicle.
*3:56 PM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop on a male subject who was found to be stumbling while walking near the roadway in the 1700 block of Belle Plain Street, according to the report. The male, identified as 45-year-old Chad William Beasley of Brownwood was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for public intoxication.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 30-year-old Christopher Lofton of Austin for driving while license invalid and on a Travis County warrant related to failure to appear/driving while intoxicated.
Tuesday, February 17
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Christopher Robert Delisle of Bangs for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old James Lee Kinsey of Brownwood for unlawful carrying weapon, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
