Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, February 17, 2011.

Tuesday, February 15

*Brown County Sheriff’s Investigator Carlyle Gover and Jason Benefield were conducting a narcotics interdiction in the Avenue B area of Brownwood.  According to the report, investigators were focused on a residence where they believed illegal substances were being distributed.  A vehicle pulled up to the residence and someone from inside the residence walked to the vehicle which parked in front of the house the report states.  Investigators watched what they believed to be a hand-to-hand delivery of an illegal substance.  After the vehicle left the location, a traffic stop was initiated and occupants of the vehicle were identified as 37-year-old Anthony Holman and a female juvenile.  A search of the vehicle resulted in the investigators finding several pills of the prescription Tizanidine and several grams of marijuana.  The juvenile was released to her parents.  Further arrests are expected.

Wednesday, February 16

*8:06am-Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Nathan Land was dispatched to the Feather Bay area in reference to criminal mischief.  According to the deputy, the reporting party stated that the owner who lives out of town had asked him to check some wind damage to a door; however he noted that the damage appeared to be caused by someone trying to force their way into the door.  The roll up door was on an outdoor kitchen, was rated to withstand 80-100mph winds and was popped out of its tracks according to the report.  The reporting party knew that there have not been any winds that high.  Replacement value of the damaged door is estimated to be $8000.  Another door was found to have been forced open; however no property was noted to be missing other than possibly some folding chairs the report states.  The owner did want to pursue charges if a suspect could be located.

*6:07pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of S. Broadway to a local pet store regarding a civil matter.  According to the report, investigation determined a large sign and lettering had been taken from the outside wall of the business and a large fountain also located outside the business had been damaged.  A suspect has been identified in the incident; however no arrest had been made at the time of the report.

*7:37pm-A Brownwood Police officer was called to the Law Enforcement Center to speak with an individual regarding threats.  Investigation determined that a male subject had threatened a security guard at a local convenience store the report states. 

*8:43pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Hawkins Street regarding a vehicle theft.  The vehicle was reported missing from the 1100 block of Vine Street.  An investigation determined that the vehicle had been towed from private property and was being stored at a local wrecker impound the report states.

*11:44pm-Brownwood Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 900 Riverside Drive, Duke’s Pub and Grub.  The complainant stated he had entered the bar and returned to his vehicle to find that his speaker system had been stolen according to the report.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*Deputy John Fincher was conducting a narcotics interdiction on Hwy 183 south, when he stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  According to the report, the vehicle was occupied by three males who later stated they were traveling through the area en route to Temple.  The occupants were extremely nervous when the deputy approached them and they had the appearance of being under the influence of an intoxicating substance the report states.  Additional deputies arrived to assist in the investigation and Deputy Fincher was able to search the vehicle and its occupants.  One of which, 28-year-old Luna Nazario Rodriguez was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine smoking pipe in his pocket the report states.  Rodriguez was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance under 1g.

Thursday, February 17

*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a welder abandoned off a county road in May around noon today, discovering that the welder had been stolen from a residence in Early and had not been reported yet. Deputies located the owner while notifying Early Police Officers. Early Police Department took an offense report and began an investigation while the owner retrieved his welder and trailer. The investigation is continuing.

*8:57pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a family fight in the 900 block of 7th Street.  Officers met with both subjects, interviewing them at the BPD.  An offense report was filed.

*Bangs Police arrested 56-year-old Fabien Lee Ynostrosa of Goldthwaite for Possession Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
