Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports that a warrant service on Wednesday on a male subject led to his arrest as well as that of three female subjects on drug related charges in Brownwood.
According to a probable cause on sight arrest affidavit, Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy James Stroope noticed a wanted subject standing outside of CVS Pharmacy on Austin Avenue on Wednesday, February 12 at approximately 3:53 p.m. The subject identified as 33-year-old Rollie Galvan Lopez had a marijuana cigarette clinched in his fist as well as a pill bottle in his pocket which contained approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine, a glass smoking pipe and some baggies located in his socks, the affidavit states. Because this offense was within 1000 feet of the HPU Academy of Freedom, Lopez was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and manufacture deliver controlled substance penalty group 1 more than 1 gram less than 4 grams in a drug free zone in addition to being arrested for the active warrant, the report states.
The investigation during this call led to more arrests at a residence in the 900 block of 7th Street, according to the affidavit.
31-year-old Amanda Elaine Carrillo was arrested at the home on 7th Street and had 0.5 grams of methamphetamine on her person which she stated was delivered to her by Adriana Carrillo while she was at a residence in the 1800 block of Durham, the report states. This statement was later confirmed by a text found in Amanda Carrillo’s cell phone, the affidavit states. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group less than 1 gram.
BCSO investigators went to the home on Durham in an attempt to make an arrest on Adriana Carillo; however, no one answered the knock. 26-year-old Carrillo was later arrested when she left while officers were conducting surveillance on the residence, the report states. Investigators spoke with the owner of the home, 41-year-old Valentina Cantu Chelete, who allowed a search of the home which led to the discovery of an additional 2.4 grams of methamphetamine as well as 3.5 grams of marijuana, the affidavit states.
BSCO Investigator Carlyle Gover reported that Chelete admitted that she had used methamphetamine with Adrianna Carrillo on Sunday, February 9th. Writings were found in the home that linked Carrillo to methamphetamine distribution, the affidavit states. Chelette consented to a urine sample which tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana, the affidavit states. Additionally, Chelette was found to have 5 ½ tablets of alprazolam, 10 ½ tablets of diazepam, and 2 ½ tablets of carisoprodol on her person, Gover reported.
Chelette was subsequently arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams in a drug free zone, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone and possession of a dangerous drug. Adriana Carrillo was arrested for delivery of methamphetamine less than 1 gram in a drug free zone (within 1000 feet of Coggin Park), possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
All four arrestees remained held in the Brown County Jail and as of Thursday morning, no bail had been set.

Wednesday, February 12
*9:00 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Anderson regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the complainant and business owner stated that sometime between 8:00 AM on February 11th and 8:00 AM on February 12th, an unknown person broke into the business and took an unknown amount of money from the register.
*8:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a warrant service on a female who was thought to possibly be at the apartment. According to the report, while at the location, a male subject who was present at the apartment was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. 21-year-old Demory Ardell Wilson, Jr. was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*10:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Irma Street regarding a citizens’ dispute. According to the report, an investigation led to the charge of terroristic threat being pursued.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief via telephone. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had slit three tires on her daughter’s vehicle yesterday while it was sitting in their driveway at County Road 613.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 19-year-old Dustin Scott Adkins on a warrant related to continuous violence toward family. Adkins is being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 25-year-old Ricky James Guerra on a warrant related to failure to maintain financial responsibility.
*Bangs Police arrested 41-year-old Debra Kay Lowrey on warrants related to public nuisance and failure to appear.
* Thursday, February 13
*1:09 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 600 block of W. Austin Avenue. According to the report, during the stop a Brown County Sheriff’s Office K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics inside of the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle, officers located a quantity of marijuana and methamphetamine along with various drug paraphernalia the report states. Marjorie Schneider and Leah Yabut were both arrested for the offenses of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Fabian Mendoza Arriaga of Bangs on a warrant related to theft equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.
*Brownwood Police arrested 29-year-old Lola Marie Pollard on a Comanche County warrant related to possession of a controlled substance.
