Law enforcement arrests and reports released, Monday, February 13, 2012.

Tuesday, February 7

*1:52pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft in the 800 block of Bailey Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she believes that many of her belongings were stolen by employees of the moving company that delivered her belongings from New Mexico to her new home in Brownwood.

Friday, February 10

*11:07am-Brownwood Police received a report of a hit and run.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*4:35pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 12th Street and Avenue C regarding a citizen’s dispute.  According to the report, multiple people were fighting in the park.  After investigation, multiple charges are being filed in the case.

*7:04pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Willis Street for a defective license plate lamp.  According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Christopher Ryan Fell, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*Brownwood Police arrested 29-year-old Frank William Brummett for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3 less than 28 grams.

Saturday, February 11

*12:07am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 2601 Crocket Drive regarding a suspicious vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she was being followed by a white vehicle occupied by two males who had been at Tequila Nights when she and her passenger left the bar.  The caller advised that the two subjects had been tailgating their vehicle, the report states.  This call led to the arrest of 35-year-old Raphael Costilla for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd and also on four outstanding warrants for Costilla’s arrest.

*4:37am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend came to her apartment and began yelling at her and fighting with her.  The report states that during the altercation, the complainant received minor injuries to her right hand and drove to the ER for treatment.  She also stated that the suspect had damaged her vehicle by kicking the driver side door, according to police reports.

*2:00pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 2nd Street regarding a dog bite.  According to the report, a female juvenile was bitten in the upper left cheek by the dog.  The case was forwarded to the Animal Control Officer for investigation.

*3:24pm-Brownwood Police received a report from a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center that her vehicle had been damaged by a known suspect around 3:00am.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect kicked or hit her car causing damage to the driver’s side back quarter panel.  The incident occurred near the intersection of Coggin Avenue and 11th Street, the report states.

*5:35pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 10th Street regarding a civil matter.  According to the report, the complainant was trying to retrieve items that belonged to her daughter.  The report states that the girlfriend of complainant’s daughter would not return the items.  A report was filed for theft.

*8:45pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of 14th Street for a defective brake light.  According to the report, the driver, 20-year-old Richard James Potter, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with No Insurance.  Potter was also given a written warning for the defective brake light.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Thomas Ray Berry for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Kevin Joseph Carlin of Lubbock for Possession of Marijuana Less Than 2 oz and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 33-year-old Crystal Dawn Norris of Bangs for Driving While Intoxicated/Open Container.

Sunday, February 12

*2:13am-Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 block of Melwood for failing to signal 100 feet prior to a turn.  This stop led to the arrest of 28-year-old Reba Buffington for Driving While Intoxicated.

*4:15am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding an unwanted person.  The caller advised that her brother 36-year-old James Mathew Duncan of Odem was drunk and was trying to break down the door to her residence, the report states.  The call led to the arrest of Duncan for Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault and Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*5:45am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Slayden Street regarding a suspected drunk driver.  According to the report, the officer was able to locate the suspect vehicle in the 2200 block of 13th where a traffic stop was performed.  Upon investigation, the driver, identified as 17-year-old Juan Carlos Castaneda, was found to be intoxicated.  Castaneda was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated with Open Container and No Driver’s License.

*9:01am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Phillips Drive regarding a possible burglary in progress.  According to the report, the homeowners observed a male “half naked” in the attached garage of their home.  Police arrived to find the male in the garage, the report states.  The male, identified as 28-year-old Forrest Nicholas Eaton, was arrested for Criminal Trespass of a Habitation and Public Intoxication.

*12:16pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Durham Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, an investigation was performed and no violence was determined to have taken place.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Billy Mark Seamans for Evading Arrest and Public Intoxication.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Shawn Michael Seamans for Driving While Intoxicated.

Monday, February 13

*12:31am-Brownwood Police received a report of a possible sexual assault of a child.  According to the report, it is unclear whether the assault occurred in Brownwood or Brady.
