Wednesday, February 10

* 11:00 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a property in Thrifty regarding a report of a cow that had been shot.  The incident was documented and the animal’s injuries were photographed as evidence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of illegal dumping.  An unknown person(s) dumped residential items and trash into the running water of the Pecan Bayou low water crossing in the 7000 block of County Road 257, commonly referred to as the 10-mile crossing.  Suspects have been identified and the incident documented.  The investigation is ongoing.

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Denise Flanary Campbell of Brownwood on a Brazoria County warrant related to theft of property.

*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Joe Vasquez IV of Early for driving while license invalid.

*Brownwood Police arrested 50-year-old Jerry Ned Woodcock of Santa Anna on a parole warrant.

Thursday, February 11

*2:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, upon the officer’s arrival, a female victim was located sitting on the porch of the residence with a large laceration to her knee.  An investigation determined the victim had been assaulted with a deadly weapon by her boyfriend.

*3:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a juvenile problem.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of a juvenile for theft greater than $100 less than $750.  The suspect, identified as 30-year-old David Wayne Jernigan, was located and arrested for aggravated assault date/family/house member w/weapon causes serious bodily injury.
