Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

Thursday, January 26

*7:39am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding found property.  According to the report, an employee returned from his break at 3:25am and noticed several gas cans beside the coke machine.  Upon checking to see if the cans contained any gasoline, he noticed a cloth eye glasses case behind the machine, the report states.  The case contained a few syringes and baggies, which he felt could be illegal narcotics so he notified his supervisor and then contacted police, according to the report.  The baggies contained what is believed to be methamphetamines and were secured into the Brownwood Police Department evidence room.  Surveillance video may help locate a suspect, according to the report.

*5:55pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center.  According to police, a now 13-year-old girl along with a Child Protective Services worker reported sexual, physical and verbal abuse that happened in 2003.  According to police, an investigation has been opened related to the alleged incidents that occurred over a two year period beginning when the child was 4 years old.  According to police, it is alleged that the mother of the child was continually on drugs and did not provide adequate care for the child or her siblings while living with a boyfriend who allegedly committed the offenses against the child.

Monday, January 30

*11:07am-Brownwood Police responded to an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Magnolia regarding narcotics activity.  According to the report, officers began an investigation of the apartment in question.  A short while later, a quantity of marijuana was seized and 21-year-old Christopher Patterson was placed under arrest, charged with the Possession of Marijuana Greater or Equal to 2 oz. and Less than 4 oz. in a Drug Free Zone.

*6:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4100 block of Glenwood Drive regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative has been threatening over the phone to assault him and that the complainant was afraid the suspect would carry out his threat.

Tuesday, January 31

*8:58am-The Brownwood City Marshal notified that a male subject, identified as Ronnie Patterson was outside the county court room and was intoxicated, reports state.  Inside the court room another subject, William Bailey, was also found to be intoxicated, the marshal’s report states.  He was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed inside the holding cell.  Patterson was intoxicated; however not as much as Bailey and was allowed to leave with a sober driver who was a neighbor of Patterson’s the report states.

*6:40pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 200 block of Main Street, Enterprise Rent-A-Car regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between 5:30pm on Monday and 4:00pm Tuesday, someone broke the passenger window and burglarized her vehicle.  Nothing was taken from the vehicle, but the complainant could tell that someone had been inside it because two jackets that were in the passenger seat had been moved which were covering her Bible.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*7:13pm-A Brownwood Police officer observed a BMW with a temporary license plate tag traveling northwest in the 1200 block of Duke Street and that the license plate lamp was not working.  A traffic stop was made for defective equipment in the 600 block of W. Commerce.  The vehicle was searched and a box of cigarettes containing a cut straw and a plastic bag with a white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine was found in the right front door, a smoking pipe containing a burnt residue and green leafy residue was found in the glove compartment, and a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance believed to be K-2 was found in the vehicle’s trunk, the report states.   The driver, 20-year-old Sean Thomas Fuller was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 Equal or Greater than 4g less than 200g and Possession of K-2.  This stop also led to a citation being issued to a passenger for Open Container.

*11:35pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was running stationary radar and stopped a vehicle for speeding.  The driver, 52-year-old Jose Garza Tijerina was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated Open Container.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
