Wednesday, January 7
*1:52 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of a stolen camera. The complainant told officers that she located the camera at a local pawn shop.
*4:50 PM – A complainant on County Road 292 reported that someone had stolen her information for a payday loan in another state.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of a dog bite from a stray dog. The dog was found and quarantined.
*Early Police arrested 44-year-old Matthew Wayne Merz of Brownwood for DWI 3rd and evading arrest/detention.
Thursday, January 8
*2:08 PM – Brownwood Police apprehended a wanted person after the subject evaded police on foot in the 2400 block of Austin Avenue, according to police reports. Andrew Chambliss Thrasher, 20, was arrested for evading arrest/detention as well as other offenses by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
*2:08 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of criminal mischief in the area of FM 1849 and Hwy 279. A pickup was mudding in the barrow ditch and was stuck in the mud. The driver of the vehicle told the deputy that he decided to go mudding and the idea was stupid. TxDOT advised that the damage was approximately $500.
*3:00 PM – A Brownwood Police officer was notified by Brownwood Municipal Court that a subject, who was recently arrested, falsely identified herself. A warrant for failure to identify is being sought.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Shanetha Lorah Brooks on a warrant for aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
*Brownwood City Marshal arrested 27-year-old Tiffany Nicole Daniel on warrants for failure to appear and open container.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Belgara Ladislao Herrera for DWI and evading arrest/detention.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Michael Keith Hickerson on warrants for theft against the elderly and theft over $1500 under $20,000.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Shalee Riddles on a warrant for engaging in organized criminal activity.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Summer Page Sanders on an Eastland County warrant for hindering apprehension.
