Tuesday, January 7
*10:00 AM – A Brownwood Police officer made a stop in the 1100 block of Austin Avenue. 23-year-old Crystal Newingham was arrested for driving while license invalid.
*11:00 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a property on County Road 270 regarding a public nuisance. The complainant reported that someone is tearing down a dilapidated trailer house and insulation is blowing onto neighboring properties.
*1:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Cordell St. regarding an assault. The call led to a report being made for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. One subject was transported buy Guardian EMS to the ER for treatment of injuries caused by being struck by a wooden stick. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to officers’ arrival.
*Brownwood City Marshal arrested Gerard Amarante, 49, on a warrant for failure to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Victoria Caswell Mays on multiple warrants for failure to appear.
Wednesday, January 8
*5:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce (Walmart) regarding theft. A victim reported that a black purse was stolen. A possible suspect was indentified.
*Early Police arrested 35-year-old Maria DeJesus Robles for driving while license invalid.
*Early Police arrested 37-year-old KC Huff on warrant for failure to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Anthony Dewayne Roberts for a parole violation.
*Luis Jesus Sanchez, 39, turned himself in on a warrant for cruelty to non-livestock animals.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 34-year-old Kevin Shane Sliger for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*Brownwood Police arrested Jerrad Ben Williams, 31 of Brownwood, for theft of property greater than or equal to $50 and less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 28-year-old Daniel Loyd Stringer from Bangs for illegal dumping and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
