Tuesday, January 8

*6:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 7-11 convenience store at 1501 Coggin regarding a theft that occurred the previous night.  Police observed 7 subjects on security footage working together to steal property.  Police have identified the subjects and a case for engaging in organized criminal activity was opened and the investigation continues.

*7:59 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding a burglary of a vehicle.  Overnight, an unknown subject(s) opened the unlocked door to the vehicle and stole several items.

*10:48 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  The police report states that 41-year-old John Ridings of Brownwood assaulted his roommate.  Ridings was arrested for assault with injury family violence.

*12:24 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding a welfare check on a subject.  En route, police were informed that a male subject ran from the apartment.  The subject, Michael Scott Rogers, 31, was located and arrested for violation of a protective order, according to police reports.
